nothin out there but lens flares and weather balloons!

Thou hast power only to act not over the result thereof. Act thou therefore without prospect of the result and without succcumbing to inaction. The mind acts like an enemy for those who do not control it...Perform your obligatory duty, because action is indeed better than inaction...Sever the ignorant doubt in your heart with the sword of self-knowledge. Observe your discipline. Arise.

But whatsoever, after due examination and analysis, you find to be kind, conducive to the good, the benefit, the welfare of all beings - that doctrine believe and cling to, and take it as your guide.” ~ Gautama Siddhartha — The Buddha

it really brings to perspective how incredibly shut down and narrow many peoples awareness is.

Frightening!

It is sorta, isn't it?

The momentary realization of the (infinte?) vastness can be overwhelming.

Yes, and the size of the universe is only an estimate. It could be much vaster than we can even now imagine.

And, what about parallel universes?

We are aware really of only our own but there are hints that ours is not the only universe.

Here is a mind boggler - think of a galaxy of universes. That is so vast that I can't really get my mind around it.

And, what about parallel universes?

That's when it gets really weird.

Think about infinite time, infinite space, infinite dimensions, infinite densities, infinite possibilities.

And here is a mind blower to chew on. What if what we call the "laws of the universe" are nothing more than our collective agreements as sentients? What if the agreements in a different universe were different? Say, one where magic was an every day fact of life?
