Now, call me crazy, but putting an order in for MRE's, with a 3 year shelf life isn't anything unusual. FEMA's readiness command feeds the National Guard if I'm not mistaken, as both FEMA and the National Guard work hand in hand with one another.
I'm looking at this from the perspective of a guy who is trying not to see armageddon around every corner.
Here's a thought, and perhaps everyone else here has had it cross their mind. We all know that in 2012, we're supposedly going to see the end of the world. When the end of the world doesn't come, people are going to probably just go about their business the same as they always have.
There's that other portion of the population that is ready to have a massive freak-out. They are begging for the doomsday scenario, and will do everything they can to bring it about.
Lastly, there's the great and inevitable economic woes this country is having. Guess what folks, they are not going away any time soon, at least not until the Federal Reserve renews its charter, and by God, you know that's going to happen.
The country will be so far in debt, and so bankrupt that the only people that CAN bail us out, will of course be the Rothschild Bank, which will of course own it all in the end anyway.
I'm not particularly concerned with what's coming. I just see the world as one big toilet that right now, needs the floaters flushed down the drain.

Your voice of reason is appreciated. The thing about this meal planning, though, is that it is specific to the New Madid fault zone [Edit to add: for a ten day period] and not National Guards in general.

Ft. Bragg and Dugway have both been under lockdown in the last few days. This is a comment at a YouTube video about Dugway that sounds farfetched but does make me wonder about which troops and others Walmart/Chinamart might intend to serve and assist under the guise of Emergency Management, ours or China's:
