Okay, I don't know if it was illegal or not. I think he should have just taken his hat off though. Until such time as the ptb don't make the rules and carry guns, it's wise to just take one's hat off in Court. If you don't know that and need to be told, you should still take it off.

Court is Not the place to be playing the role of a punk. The judges, prosecutors, guards and cops are just sitting there waiting like predators for someone to do that. They know how to deal with resistors.

Do I agree with it? Of course not. But that's the way it is and trying to change it in a courtroom especially when one's friend is being judged, is unwise, counterproductive and silly.

to determine if its illegal to weara hat one would nees to read the actual statute. he could have worn a t shirt with the same flag. theyd have a hard time forcing him to strip naked. if they arrested him for words on a shirt. hed have a great lawsuit
