Appointment of new prime minister in Lebanon sparks riots Thousands of anti-government protesters inspired by the Tunisian revolution clashed with riot police in the centre of Cairo today demanding the overthrow of president Hosni Mubarak. Police responded with water cannon and attacked crowds with batons and tear gas to clear crowds demanding an end to the country's grinding poverty. The prostest, the largest Egypt has seen for years, began peacefully, with police showing unusual restraint in what appeared to be a concerted government effort not to provoke a Tunisia-like mass revolt. As the crowds in central Cairo's main Tahrir square continued to build, however, security personnel changed tactics and the protest turned violent.

Resolve to serve no more, and you are at once freed. I do not ask that you place hands upon the tyrant to topple him over, but simply that you support him no longer; then you will behold him, like a great Colossus whose pedestal has been pulled away, fall of his own weight and break into pieces. I don't blame the Egyptians.

Can you imagine having Barack Obama as president for life?

THAT is what they are protesting - president for life.

Lebanese I've talked to recently fully expect war in the near future.

They're going to kick out the jambs in the Middle East.

The opulent lifestyles of the Tunisian oligarchy coming to a sudden end has sent warning signals throughout the world.

e.g., Tunisia was just the beginning.

As is usually the case, I see a lot of good riot equipment up for grabs if these people play their cards right.

There are ambushes being set up and played out in places like Phoenix, Arizona, where the authorities are being led into isolated areas such as dark alleys. This activity is being conducted by illegals-drug dealers today, but others will catch on.

The drug cartels will catch on. They control all of Mexico and won't stop until they do it here as well.

Many have mistaken American love for orderliness, peace, tranquility, liberty and the rule of law for weakness. This is a huge miscalculation.

When this society goes off of the reservation - the oppressors will face a well armed, extremely angry, intelligent, well-trained, and super-aggressive opponent fighting for their freedom and liberty with everything they cherish in the balance.

Izzy may have air superiority but the Lebanese have shown, as they did the last time, that if you're dug in deep, you can hurt the enemy on the ground.
