.Ok it is not something you want to type On a lot, but I am on the 4um and it is pretty neat. This may be the first post here from a droid seven inch tablet. I think these things will be everywhere in a year or two. This one was 118 $ , guessing they will be 50$ soon and have 5X capability. this one has a 32!!GB capacity in a removable chip, which I don't have. O typing ls a pain, but you can plug a regular USB keyboard into the droid

Coolness. I think the tablet type computer is the next wave in portable computing, and Apple is going to be forced to lower the price of the iPad and add a USB port. This is a good thing. I think they are so neat. I am betting that the next generation iPad will be forced down to around 350, and be expandable. I lovvvvvvve competition.

That always seems to be the way with leaps in technology. I doubt even Apple, who originated the concept, has any idea where it is going. They tried to chain it down by limiting the capability of the iPad to not compete with their notebook computers but I don't think they are going to be able to keep it so.

The next step which will take this new concept to another level is for decreasing the size of flash memory storage to the point where you have 4 or 5 hundred Gigabytes in a memory stick and beyond. In another generation what we consider state of the art now will again be considered the dark ages - just as we now look back on a Trash 80 or an 8086 as hopelessly ancient and hard drives will be looked at as on par with a 5 1/4 inch Floppy Disk or a Streaming Tape Drive. The current Core2Duo the Core16Octet. We'll look at 64 or 128 processing cores as we once did a 64 bit Bus.

My current desktop tower has more raw computing power than a Vax did only 20 years ago. It is, in terms of speed, close to what first generation Supercomputers were doing. In 20 years our desktop Super Computers will be on par with the current generation of Cray Mainframe Super Computers and your iPad/Tablet Computers will be more powerful than a state of the art desktop computer is now and software will be an order or two of magnitude simpler and yet more powerful.
