yes, they re-voted and interesting that this time, one more republican voted NO. 26 voted no last week, 27 voted no today. the dems must have been the ones to switch. every one of the 26 repubs who voted no last week also voted no this time. farmfriend, do you know if those vote was also under 'suspension of rules' and was a 2/3 majority required? thanks
"if I have all faith so as to move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing." 1 Cor 12:31—13:13 my husband had jury duty selection today. the defendant was a young black man who was accused of breaking into a car. there were two questions that pretty much showed you the attitude of most americans, imo. they were asked to rate the APD on a scale from 1-10. the majority rated it 8 or 9. one a 6 and my husband rated it a 5. another question was would they be more likely to believe the testimony of a uniformed cop and almost every person in the room answered yes. my husband wasn't selected because when he was asked if he'd follow the law his answer was "not if i believe a law to be unfair or unconstitutional." my point is that if these people were representative of most americans then we can see that most want the control and tyranny of legislation like the Patriot Act.

Good on your hubby!! I would get the boot from jury duty for the same reasons. I'd be asking: Why aren't you all explaining nullification to the lot of us? I really think that most people are simply ignorant, willfully ignorant, and they don't want anybody to rock that paradigm. It's sad.

actually, i see that 2 less democrats voted for it this time. the difference must have been that a simple majority was needed to pass, instead of the 2/3 last time. they must have not been under a suspended rule deal where 2/3 was needed to pass it today.

They changed the rules so that only a simple majority was required to pass the bill, as opposed to a 2/3 majority. Many of the new Republican Congressmen rode in on the coattails of the anti-Dem revolt. They weren't members of the Tea Party.

Don't fret Flint. I've been trying my best to wake people up since '92. It's not likely to happen. Leave this mess to the younger set and enjoy your life. It's they and their kids who will take it on the chin.
We need a good, jury duty DVD for the project.
The selection process is clearly rigged, don't let them know you have a brain. Lie your ass off in order to get selected for jury duty. Then, educate the jury about nullification and such. It is an honor and your duty to protect the innocent. We are all innocent, under the law, until found guilty by a fully informed jury.

Dear farmfriend, The good news or "silver lining" to the misnamed Patriot Act (Iron Curtain Act would have been a better descriptor) is that it's force and effect or Jurisdictional claim is exclusive to the so-called Former Slave class or today's 14th Amendment Serfs. It is also important to note that the Territorial jurisdiction claim of the Iron Curtain Act is also exclusively Federal (DC, the Territories etc. and not the fifty states of the Union). If you are not happy with the Pat Act, Obama Care, Driving Regs, Income Tax etc. it's a simple matter of correcting political status (to state National from 14th Amendment Serf) to escape or mitigate this modern condition of regulatory slavery.
