If the PD would stick to doing things like this, they wouldn't be a problem. Hell, I'd even buy them some donuts.
There's nothing quite like being sound asleep and having one of these vile things knock on the side of my truck. It's one thing I dont miss about being on the road.
A known whore at a known whore hangout deserves it, just for being a known whore at a known whore hangout
That, in itself, is not a crime, therefore is no cause for a stop and interrogation.
What I fail to understand is how a driver could ever let something like that inside his truck, much less give him a blow job.
You're basing you approval of this tactic on your moral judgment. That's treacherous territory and one of the problems that is ruining this country. If we allow one God given right to be trampled based on one moral judgment, then we have to allow the same for all rights and all moral judgments.

Interesting that you call prostitution, or in this case it's damn close to bestiality, a "god given right".
Perhaps I should patent and sell my famous "The Head to Toes Treatment". I could make a mint! The problem is, I first have to at least like her before she gets it which would cut down severely on my customer base.
Every law we have is based on moral judgments. We all have different lines we draw.
Was she stopped for soliciting? No. She was stopped for walking down the sidewalk.
No, it was stopped because it is a known prostitute in a known prostitution area. That is the only reason it was stopped.
Do you want these vermin in your neighborhood? I don't. And I have never heard of anyone with them in their neighborhoods that wanted them there either.
Would they be trolling for johns at this location if there no horny men willing to pay for sex acts? Nope. If the truckers quit buying, they will go away on their own. Can't people just say no to crack ho's down in Dallas?
Why waste public safety resources on CONSENSUAL sex acts?

Why waste public safety resources on CONSENSUAL sex acts?
Usually it is not horny truckers buying these services but some married local guy who gets off on the "dirty" aspect of hookers. Course this does not negate your argument that legalized places help keep the diseases down and takes it out of visibility.

Of course not.
I simple cannot imagine how horny a "man" must be to do one of them. It is beyond my understanding.
When they used to ask me if I wanted a "date", let's just say that temptation was never a problem. Just the thought of one of them touching me in any way made my skin crawl. No way could I have ever gotten it up with one of them. No way.
But if a driver wants it, it's out there. They are just a CB call away. You pay your money and you take your chances.
Why waste public safety resources on CONSENSUAL sex acts?
Because they are a public nuisance, affects the livability of an area, they spread diseases, they trespass (the truckstops (and other unrelated businesses) do not want them there either but there's not much they can do except control access to the parking lot by fencing it in but that is of limited effectiveness) etc. I don't see it as a waste of resources.

Why waste public safety resources on CONSENSUAL sex acts?
Exactly. Whatever one thinks of it from a moral perspective is irrelevant so far as what law enforcement should be doing, and the fundamentals of a free society.
I have no burning desire, in fact none whatsoever, to consort with some poor scuzzy "Crack Ho". However, I also accept that I have no right to enforce my personal beliefs upon others by force. That is the difference between a free and non-free society - the protection of the right of ALL to be free from forcible coercion in the conduct of their non-violent affairs.
Now I can see, as a matter of public sanitation, having neighborhoods where they are not allowed, but even that is a two edged sword as it opens the door to other exclusions under the guise of "it's no different than ...".
Prostitution, whatever one things of it on a moral and ethical plane, is not a crime of coercion but is a consensual act on the part of both parties. The State should have NO interest, and NO right to become involved.
