If the PD would stick to doing things like this, they wouldn't be a problem. Hell, I'd even buy them some donuts. There's nothing quite like being sound asleep and having one of these vile things knock on the side of my truck. It's one thing I dont miss about being on the road.

That's treacherous territory and one of the problems that is ruining this country. At the end of that clip when the ho was thanking the cops I was sitting here thinking, wtf! Why would anyone thank a cop for stopping them when they hadn't done anything, at least not that the cops saw or heard from any witnesses? That's some scary $#it to me, to thank cops for stopping you when you're minding your own business (just like they should be doing, out looking for some actual crime and real criminals). Dallas has a violent crime rate 12.06 per 1,000 people. Gee, it might actually drop if the police were perusing these VIOLENT criminals rather than easy to pick up crack ho's at the truck stops. These crack ho pick-ups end up costing the taxpayers MORE than the arrest is worth. Plus, you don't stop the prostitution because the johns still want some nasty sex act with nasty prostitutes. The gal in the vid was in court just the other day and now has giz on neck. When they used to ask me if I wanted a "date", let's just say that temptation was never a problem. Just the thought of one of them touching me in any way made my skin crawl. Exactly. Whatever one thinks of it from a moral perspective is irrelevant so far as what law enforcement should be doing, and the fundamentals of a free society. I have no burning desire, in fact none whatsoever, to consort with some poor scuzzy "Crack Ho". However, I also accept that I have no right to enforce my personal beliefs upon others by force. That is the difference between a free and non-free society - the protection of the right of ALL to be free from forcible coercion in the conduct of their non-violent affairs. Now I can see, as a matter of public sanitation, having neighborhoods where they are not allowed, but even that is a two edged sword as it opens the door to other exclusions under the guise of "it's no different than ...". Prostitution, whatever one things of it on a moral and ethical plane, is not a crime of coercion but is a consensual act on the part of both parties. The State should have NO interest, and NO right to become involved.

Prostitution is a victimless crime. Does her body belong to the State? I find prostitution to be repugnant and have never used one (yet), but it's not my place to restrict the freedom of other people just because I dont like their choices.
If someone buys her a beer and they screw it's legal. If they screw for free it's legal. If someone gives her $5 it's illegal.
A test to determine if you own something is if you can sell it. Can you sell your car? Yes, you own it. If you can not sell your body, you do not own it.
If it could be shown that other peoples prostitution harmed me or society then I can see restricting it. I do not believe that can be shown. It only affects those that engage in it.
