Yesterday, House Budget Chairman Paul Ryan said "It's like Cairo's moved to Madison these days." Noam Chomsky said that the Wisconsin protests might be the start of a "democracy uprising". Top trend forecaster Gerald Celente has been predicting a revolution in America for years, stemming from Wall Street's pillaging of the economy. Indeed, top American and international military commanders have warned for years that the financial crisis could lead to revolution. See this and this. Even ultimate political insider Chris Dodd said in 2008: If it turns out that [the banks] are hoarding, you’ll have a revolution on your hands. People will be so livid and furious that their tax money is going to line their pockets instead of doing the right thing. There will be hell to pay. Of course, the big banks are hoarding, and refusing to lend to Main Street. In fact, they admitted back in 2008 that they would.
Poster Comment: Michael Krieger said in today's interview with Max Keiser that he does not expect anything to start in America until the price of food starts to climb beyond our burden in about 6 months. He said when it does come, it will be beyond anyone's imagination. I expected huge budget battles on the states and cities this Spring. I do not have much sympathy for government workers. We have a 22% unemployment rate. Where were these workers when the federal government handed out more than a million Green Cards last year and refused to build a fence along the Mexican border? State workers and school teachers will not lead the revolution.

State workers and school teachers will not lead the revolution. You're on the money! All state workers are lazy, that is a fact. I know this, I am an ex-state worker. ;)

It's not that all state workers are lazy, at all. It's just that there are many state jobs that should go away. Same with all .gov agencies and jobs.

Here, TXDOT is one of the most out-of-control agencies that we have. Totally unaccountable and corrupt.

Totally unaccountable and corrupt. There is a private company here in CA that has made a name for itself buy building road cheaper and faster. I'd like to see them replace the DOT.

Let's hope so! We need it at the grass roots level. Wisconsin has unbelievably high property tax rates.
