Scientists: Sun's approaching 'Grand Cooling" assures new Ice Age February 18, 2011 NASA and the ESA agree, and so does the Russian space agency, Roscosmos—the sun is headed for a Grand Solar Minimum and a Grand Cooling will commence.
The aptly named Grand Cooling is exactly what it implies: the sun is going to cool. That cooling will also cool off the Earth. It will last from 30 to 50 years.
What exactly does global cooling mean? Well for one, Al Gore was sure wrong! The Earth isn't going to warm, it's going to get colder. Much colder. So cold a little or full-blown Ice Age will ensue. As a matter of fact, some scientists claim we're already in the early stages of an Ice Age.
Maybe the Nobel Committee and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences should ask Mr. Gore to return his awards.
Dutch Professor Cees de Jager, a prominent astronomer and solar expert, forcefully asserts that we the world is indeed entering for a long period of very low solar activity. The professor and his colleagues are certain Earth is heading for a "long Grand Minimum"—defined as either a Solar Wolf-Gleissberg or a Maunder Minimum—"not shorter than a century." His 2010 paper, "The forthcoming Grand Minimum of solar activity," outlined the extended period of time that the diminished solar radiation would affect the Earth.
The Maunder minimum lasted from 1645 to 1715. It was marked by a period of general cooling over the entire planet. The Minimum coincided with the coldest year of the Little Ice Age.
The astronomer, formerly the head of the Utrecht University Observatory in the Netherlands, has laid out the basis for the upcoming Ice Age.
Another very respected scientist, the late Dr. Theodor Landscheid, founder of the Schroeter Institute for Research in Cycles of Solar Activity in Waldmuenchen, Germany, was considered a giant in the field of climate research.
A prodigious author of many research papers, leader of studies, and the author of several books, Landscheidt investigated the Gleissberg Minimum. He rejected the now proven flawed science of anthropogenic global warming and even the concept of long-term global warming itself.
"Contrary to the IPCC's speculation about man-made global warming as high as 5.8° C within the next hundred years," he said, "a long period of cool climate with its coldest phase around 2030 is to be expected."
Referring to the sun's cycles, he pointed to their correlation with other periods of prehistory when ice spread across the northern hemisphere. "It can be seen that the Gleissberg minimum around 2030 and another one around 2200 will be of the Maunder Minimum type accompanied by severe cooling on Earth."
A few of the doctor's many papers on the sun's relation to Earth's climate include "Solar activity: A dominant factor in climate dynamics," and "New confirmation of strong solar forcing of climate." Both show the sun's relationship to Earth's climate and abrupt changes in that climate during periods of transition from warming to cooling and back to warming.
It is unfortunate that Al Gore's inconvenient truth turned out to be a fallacy. Global warming is much preferable to the climate the Earth actually seems on the verge of slipping into within a few short years.
Depending on the severity of the Ice Age, agriculture could be severely affected and millions could perish.

Where did all my Glowbull Warming go? Damn it! I want some warmth for my garden.
Here's a thought to think about. Speculation, but .... If you knew that a period of global cooling was coming but your objective was depopulation and getting rid of a lot of "useless eaters" what would be more practical in achieving this aim? Telling people the planet was warming so that "measures" need to be taken to mitigate higher temperatures? OR Telling people that a new Ice Age was coming so that they could prepare for that?
Damn it! I want some warmth for my garden. You weren't happy with 2010? It was the hottest year on record.

The only melons I was able to get to ripen were Minnesota Midget - about the size of a softball. All of the larger varieties developed fungal rots and died. The last two years my tomatoes have all ripened much later than in prior years. Tomatoes ripen based on "heat units" absorbed and the less heat available the longer they take to ripen. Al Bore and the rest of the Glowbull Warming Kooks can, as far as I'm concerned, go engage in anatomically improbable sex.
This has been a hypothesis that's been banging about in my head for quite a while. The Illuminists or whatever you call them, the folks that steer these debates from the back field, surely have access to good data and reliable people to interpret them. "Global warming" is quite possibly a feint maneuver.

The geo-political consequences are breathtaking to contemplate. What happens when it gets seriously cold in the North?? Can you imagine the pressures and dislocations that will take place when hundreds of millions of people in northern climes begin casting their eyes southward at warm arable lands to grow their crops? If you think the 20th century was bad in terms of conflict, this one may well be worse.

Oh, absolutely, but the question is: On what level? Generally they'll run these large PsyOps with multiple objectives. Global Warming provided pretext for new impositions on individual liberty. Now, since they appear to be trying to set up a Neo-Feudalist slave state, with the privileged few assuming titles of, in effect, nobility one of their aims has been to reduce the population down to a level they regard as easier to control. So, if you knew the planet was going to cool off and you wanted to MAXIMIZE the death toll getting people to prepare for a warmer climate would do just that. Remember that based on Agenda 21 the avowed goal is to reduce the planetary population down to about 500 million - or about a 90% reduction from current population levels. At the same time they want to ensure they remain in control. The interesting conundrum they face is that the people most likely to survive are the ones who are the most difficult to control i.e., strong willed survivors. That is the whyfor on dumbing down and the insertion of Psychiatric Drugs to debilitate large segments of the population. They really are quite fiendish - in a literal sense. Remember we ARE dealing with Psychotics who lack warmth and empathy. Under their facade of normalcy they are screaming madmen and madwomen. I think they take a perverse pleasure in all of the killing as well. They are verrrrrrrry sick.

Think back to the Viking Raids. The Vikings came south to raid because it was that or die. It had become too cold to raise their crops. So, it was a simple choice - if its my people or your people it will be my people if I have anything to say about it. The global disruption need not be catastrophic, but it requires sane leadership. During an Ice Age areas now sub-tropical become temperate. So large areas of countries such as Mexico will become cooler and wetter thus allowing agricultural expansion. A sane leadership could plot out other survival strategies. The planet is NOT overpopulated. There are gargantuan areas that are completely barren and empty, BUT with the redirection of the resources now wasted on insane wars much of it could be reclaimed for food production and made habitable. That is not a problem. Our current insane leadership IS THE PROBLEM which will result in millions to hundreds of millions of deaths if they are not prevented from doing so.
This means that we may follow them - perhaps in a militant mode.

Willingly. However, they might experience a little problem with Canadians and Americans moving in to farm. They think they are tough. Which population group outpaced Spain and conquered most of the North American Continent? They may find themselves moving wayyyyyyyy south.

Many may die in the coming upheavals but their insanity will mark them as THE ENEMY of survival, and people can rise above their fear and irrationality when it is that or die.
