Actually the producer of the movie, which is a documentary based on actual historical footage, is a Mexican American by the name of Jose' Escamilla. I'm familiar with him from his earlier work on a different phenomena.
This is a real event, dubbed "The Battle of Los Angeles", which took place in 1942 after the onset of WWII. The object, which was quite large, was fired on by multiple anti-aircraft batteries and was attacked by Army-Airforce fighters. All of course to no avail. It even made the papers at the time, but due to wartime censorship did not receive the coverage it should have. It is still the largest mass sighting of a an unexplained flying object on record as it was seen by tens of thousands.
I think it is our particular cultural conceit that we somehow think that this little speck of sand on the edge of a galaxy made up of hundreds of millions of stars in a universe made up of hundreds of millions of galaxies is the only place where intelligent life has ever arisen. As for a star faring culture hundreds to thousands of years in advance of us technologically - why should they bother with one little dot inhabited by a bunch of primitives? We are likely viewed with little difference from our view of the tribes of the remote Amazon or New Guinea. A curiosity and little more.
Since I can't watch the clip, I'm on dial-up, and already have one download going, I have to ask if it is the fictionalized version or the documentary as I know there is another "Invade the Earth and Destroy L.A. Movie in the works"?
If it is the fictionalized version it is likely a PsyOp as part of the preparation for the next big excuse for continued Police State clampdowns i.e., "The War of The Worlds" which the late Werner Von Braun said was the next menu item after the "WaronTerra" lost its impact.
Either way, I still question that if there is life out there that wants to do nothing but obliterate us, then they are no better than we are, perhaps worse.
Nah, that's the PsyOp part. The real visitors have been here for some time, and based on some of apocryphal reports likely have observers already living among us. While not all of them are human, as we currently recognize it, many are and so they can blend right it. I've read a couple of reports, and heard one interview, which I regard as not well documented but credible and likely true. It is likely we are being visited by more than one culture and what the ultimate intent is, is unclear. I suspect that they are neither friendly nor unfriendly. Engineering and technology do not change human behavior and motivations. It may be that unbeknownst to us, at this time, that we are located in some sort of interstellar crossroads and so many are just passing through. It also may be that the galaxy is already very heavily populated. Data insufficient.
Naturally we must all band together and "set aside our differences," with no doubt liberty being a "difference," to combine our efforts and thwart this enemy so that we can all live in the NWO happily ever after.
That's the impression I got. Could be me though. ; )
Oh, that's entirely possible. I know the "War of The Worlds/Independence Day" meme is the next big Social Control PsyOp after the phony "WaronTerra". According to the Von Braun story he, being on the inside, commented to someone, an aid or secretary or such as I recall, that this is the next big "Scary Scary" scenario to control the Sheeple. You can see the different set-ups being put in place to "prepare us" when you know what you are looking for. Slowly UFO/Alien disclosure is being leaked out and set up, and the "giggle factor" is being toned down. While NASA is still smudging ruins in photographs of the Moon and Mars a lot has been allowed out. And I, with the clarity of 20-20 hindsight, was part of one of their laboratory tests when photos of the Martian Ruins were published overseas in Stars and Stripes and the story had Military Intelligence Satellite Photo Interpreters stating that the ruins were clearly artificial. Looking back the reaction among the people around me was very interesting - "they didn't see it". Even if they read the article or saw the headline the significance totally eluded them. It did not fit with the world view they had been raised with, and as such was always treated as "Science Fiction", and so it did not compute to the point where they could not think with it, and so they ignored it.
We are in a fix right now and while I see some hopeful signs things are making me a bit nervous.
