Several years ago I owned a taxi and noticed something surprising -- many of the five-year-old girls (but never the boys) sucked their thumb. And when they did, they were no trouble at all - calm and peaceful and quiet. I've even seen adults suck their thumb -- I saw a disturbed woman in an elevator (she had just left a public mental health center) sucking her thumb.
Then I saw an obese woman in a motorized scooter with a pacifer in her mouth. My girlfriend told me people used them to break themselves from smoking.
When I was a teenager the girl next doot showed me a photo she had taken of her 12-year-old sister sucking her thumb while asleep.
Since many women babble too much, all men should carry pacifiers, and when a women won't shut it it should be a law any man can stick a pacifier in her mouth.
It would be a better world.
