“I know of no one who thinks or believes that we can exist as a nation without a government.  What I do know is that we can no longer abide bad government, and one that has moved so far beyond its boundaries that it is now openly engaged in acts of aggression against its own people. ”

Whatever the Southern Poverty Law (Lie) Center may have done in the past that would have merited respect has long since gone the way of most organizations that lose their way when they are suddenly treated as if they actually still retain any value.

This organization that makes its living reviving McCarthyism with all the paranoia and viciousness it can muster is a blight on America.  It is my belief that we need to compile our own list of threats to America, and SPLC would top that list.

Until a few years back, I was a registered Democrat and had been all my adult life.  I left that party along with any other political affiliation due to the corruption in government at the hands of politicians who did and still do violate our Constitution and our rights while they wage phony wars for profit and who will sell us out to the highest corporate bidder.

It was individuals from both major party’s who initiated the wholesale destruction of our rights; it was and is presidents representing both major party’s who encouraged and condoned these things.  I take these assaults on the Constitution and my rights very seriously.  For me, this is very personal and I reserve my Constitutional right to dissent and to voice that dissent without a gaggle of otherwise unemployable and paranoid hacks creating lists of fictional threats.

It is apparent that the only “research” done to compile their lists is on the net.  Anyone (like me) who points out the corruption of the government, who questions their authority to violate and abrogate our rights, who publicly expresses their disgust with the loss of our sovereignty due to illegal trade agreements (which are NOT treaty’s as prescribed by the constitution), the selling off of our infrastructure to foreign interests, anyone who realizes that Muslims can’t be the international threat the government claims they are or they wouldn’t continue to allow millions to emigrate to the US (would they?) that Homeland Security exists for no other reason than to protect the government from us.

If we believe that our right to own property free of government encumbrance, to engage in lawful business activity free of laws protecting corporations  and most especially if we believe that with our economy in shambles and 22 million legal Americans unable to find work that our borders should be secured and illegal residents deported back to their homeland……well, we must all be “hate groups, nativists, ring-wing extremists,” and whatever other fear mongering tags they can come up with to identify those of us who object to the deconstructing of America.

Well, I lean more to the left , don’t own a gun, don’t belong to any groups and have absolutely no idea why being a “nativist” meaning, a patrotic American citizen, is a bad thing unless of course you are a member of SPLC and then you are fearful and suspicious of anyone who isn’t you.

With no other evidence other than what could be located on the net (being far too afraid to actually venture out into the real world) SPLC compiled its lists.  Who ever thought we would see the day in this country when patriotism…the allegiance and loyalty to ones own country…..was demonized as a threat.  To whom?  And who, after learning of McCarthyism and the wholesale destruction of lives all premised on red-baiting and the paranoid delusions of Joseph McCarthy thought we would ever have to tolerate this kind of insipid and insidious blacklisting and targeting today only now being practiced by SPLC?

Foreign terrorist aren’t selling our land…the government is.

We have a government that has been preparing for more than twenty years to establish a total police state.  Our police departments have been militarized for use against the citizens.  Our courts from SCOTUS on down are so corrupted that the word “justice” can seldom be applied.  Our politicians regularly conspire with corporations to take our land, our resources and our assets while they take millions in donations from the corporations they pander to.  We cannot publicly assemble for any reason without being surrounded by storm troopers armed to the teeth (the only people who show up prepared to do violence).  Our phones are tapped, our mail is read, our internet activity tracked and fusions centers that exist for no other reason than to spy on the American public exist in every state.

Since the inception of the unconstitutional Patriot Acts, our government has shown us at every opportunity that they are not only prepared but more than willing to turn on us.

This isn’t foreign terrorists doing this……its our government.

Members of the clergy along with local business owners have been coaxed to lend their support to Infragard.  Homeland Security has co-opted Wal-mart to encourage snitching, spying, reporting of anything “suspicious”.  Police and government agents now routinely violate the 4th Amendment and conduct warrantless search and seizure and no evidence is needed…a clear indicator this is not about a suspected crime but more about intimidation and threat.

This isn’t foreign terrorists perpetrating these activities….its our government.

We are prohibited from traveling freely by Homeland Security and the TSA. We are forced to endure invasions of our persons under the false pretense of “keeping us safe”.  The sexual assaults that constitute TSA activity are nothing more than training and conditioning for compliance.  And much to my dismay, many of us willingly submit to this travesty.

This is our government at work.

Anyone from inside the government who dares to expose the actual and specific acts of corruption and the clear and present danger to “we the people”, somehow ends up dead in a dumpster or their planes just magically fall out of the sky, or in several cases they shoot themselves in the back of the head four or five times, or they somehow bind their own hands and feet behind their own backs and then somehow hang themselves. And it happens time after time yet we are supposed to believe it is just coincidental; it’s a mystery!

These activities aren’t being perpetrated by foreign terrorists either….

The SPLC serves a purpose.  It creates fictional targets, people and groups we are supposed to be afraid of while the real threat that lays in our government continues to grow.  The SPLC creates the diversion; that’s what the government pays them to do. It is unfortunate that there are those who help fund this anti-American organization that sells hate for profit and who receives copious amounts of grant money and private contributions to do it.

I know of no one who thinks or believes that we can exist as a nation without a government.  What I do know is that we can no longer abide bad government, and one that has moved so far beyond its boundaries that it is now openly engaged in acts of aggression against its own people.

While the SPLC is desperate to paint patriot groups and anyone else they are in mortal fear of, as extremists and threats, the general discontent of the nation grows and with it the uneasiness of knowing that the greatest threat we face is not from some unnamed and unidentifiable terrorist in a cave on the other side of the world, but is one that emanates from within.

It is of no comfort to acknowledge that in every generation in every society exists groups of individuals who will turn on the general population for reasons the rest of us will never understand.  The SPLC is such a group.  Whether it was money, power, recognition…whatever the cause, this is an organization that is so un-American, so antithetical to what we believe we are as a nation and what we stand for that one can only wonder how they survive their own shame at being such tools for oppression.

Editors Note By Alex Thomas, co founder of The Intel Hub

The Southern Poverty Law Center has a long history of demonizing legitimate activists and patriots. In recent years the SPLC has moved from being a supposed anti hate group to a semi government operation used to attack those who stand in their way.

As a strong supporter of the Constitution, I am proud to be added to a list of patriots and activists who are fighting the open plans for world government. (1 image)

For me, this is very personal and I reserve my Constitutional right to dissent and to voice that dissent without a gaggle of otherwise unemployable and paranoid hacks creating lists of fictional threats.

Other than the fact that "there ain't no such animal" as a "Constitutional right" that was well stated.

"...As in our intercourse with our fellow-men certain principles of morality are assumed to exist, without which society would be impossible, so certain inherent rights lie at the foundation of all action, and upon a recognition of them alone can free institutions be maintained. These inherent rights have never been more happily expressed than in the Declaration of Independence, that new evangel of liberty to the people: "We hold these truths to be self-evident" — that is so plain that their truth is recognized upon their mere statement — "that all men are "endowed" — not by edicts of Emperors, or decrees of Parliament, or acts of Congress, but "by their Creator with certain inalienable rights" — that is, rights which cannot be bartered away, or given away, or taken away except in punishment of crime — "and that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, and to secure these" — not grant them but secure them — "governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed." (emphasis mine)

"Among these inalienable rights, as proclaimed in that great document, is the right of men to pursue their happiness, by which is meant the right to pursue any lawful business or vocation, in any manner not inconsistent with the equal rights of others, which may increase their prosperity or develop their faculties, so as to give to them their highest enjoyment."

"The common business and callings of life, the ordinary trades and pursuits, which are innocuous in themselves, and have been followed in all communities from time immemorial, must, therefore, be free in this country to all alike upon the same conditions. The right to pursue them, without let or hindrance, except that which is applied to all persons of the same age, sex, and condition, is a distinguishing privilege of citizens of the United States, and an essential element of that freedom which they claim as their birthright."

"It has been well said that, "The property which every man has in his own labor, as it is the original foundation of all other property, so it is the most sacred and inviolable. The patrimony of the poor man lies in the strength and dexterity of his own hands, and to hinder his employing this strength and dexterity in what manner he thinks proper, without injury to his neighbor, is a plain violation of this most sacred property. It is a manifest encroachment upon the just liberty both of the workman and of those who might be disposed to employ him. As it hinders the one from working at what he thinks proper, so it hinders the others from employing whom they think proper." Adam Smith's Wealth of Nations, Bk. I. Chap. 10.

The SPLC serves a purpose.

It sure does. It's a veritable cash cow for that jackass, Morris Dees. I hope I am on their enemies list, I sure have tried hard.

Victim of Smear Campaign Gets Even With Morris Dees

By James P. Tucker Jr.

Morris Dees, who makes a lucrative career out of smearing many decent U.S. organizations, was visibly shaken at what he expected to be a sweetheart event when a pro-Southern group on his hit list challenged him on his lurid past, The Times Examiner of Greenville, S.C., reports.

Dees spoke at the University of South Carolina's Carolina Productions Lecture Series, a student-run campus organization, on Feb. 27. An estimated 300 people, including more than 30 law enforcement personnel, attended. Some professors ordered students to attend; some gave extra credit for attending. Considering how embarrassing it proved for Dees, his faculty cheerleaders probably regret such pressure.

Dees labeled the League of the South as racist and terrorist in publications put out by his Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) and public statements.

But the League is "racially neutral with members of different races," said Lexington attorney Larry Salley, a member of the board.

H.K. Edgetton of Black Mountain, a black man noted for supporting southern heritage, called Dees a "poverty pimp" during the question-and-answer period.

But it was Salley who had the most fun with Dees.

"Salley prepared and passed out a well-documented brochure that appeared to be the official program, featuring Dees's photograph and the statement 'With Justice for All' on the cover," The Times Examiner reported.

Inside, after the anticipated Dees-friendly words, the brochure transitioned into the harsh facts with footnotes citing the source of the material. Dees disciples, in blissful ignorance, helped hand out the brochures.

One of the 14 documented statements is from Harper's magazine:

The cover story of Harper's magazine's November 2000 issue exposed the SPLC's alarmist fund-raising tactics with which it raises large sums that are not used to help those it purports to serve. The Southern Center for Human Rights' Stephen Bright charged that [Dees] "is a fraud who has milked a lot of very wonderful, well-intentioned people. If it's got headlines, Morris is there."

Quoting from the Alabama Court of Civil Appeals, CIV2114 (1979), the brochure says:

"Of all the damning indictments against Morris Dees, the worst comes from his closest connection. He was sued by his ex-wife, Maureene Bass Dees, who alleged that he had committed incest with his stepdaughter and future daughter-in-law."

"When Dees saw the program he was visibly shaken," the paper quotes Salley. "I stood up and asked him why 55 percent of the SPLC's income went into his pocket, and he tried to shout me down. Then other members of our group tried to ask him similar questions, and they shut down the question-and-answer period."

Carolina Productions "is taxpayer funded and in the past they have had groups such as transvestite exotic dancers," Salley said.

The following night Dees spoke at Western Carolina University where about 200 attendees received the same brochure.

Dees refused to comment on the well-deserved roasting he took.

the author, a lifelong dem & left winger i wonder if they are for abortion rights, if so,they still don't get it. I think that is a barometer of a decent person. its like GOPrs who are 'pro life' yet for the wars; not for liberty either.

Personally I don't use abortion as a litmus test. While personally opposed to infanticide, which is what I consider abortion to be, I also know that there is a great deal of pro-abortion propaganda which has confused a great many people. I have known a few people whom I regard as basically decent individuals who favor the "pro-choice" position, and it is something which we have agreed to disagree on despite agreeing on most other issues. Basically they look at it from a different viewpoint, which I do not share, but I can shift my viewpoint to see where their argument comes from even though I disagree.

I think a lot of the left are simply knee-jerk pro-abortion because they have been conditioned into believing that if they are on the left they HAVE to be pro-abortion.

I recall reading about that when it happened. Quite a hoot and a well deserved lambasting of a world class charlatan.

I think Morris Dees is among the lowest of the low. I think he truly missed his calling, he should have been a snake wrangler and been milking them for their venom. After all, they probably would recognize him as a kindred spirit and not bite him.
