What I don't get is that Jesus couldn't have made it any more clear, no one knows, which obviously means that it also therefore cannot be calculated.
I used to be so devout.
Now I just have doubt.
Not in God mind you.
For their is no doubt of a much higher force for me.
But the belief in Jesus I once had is no longer there.
All the same it is true for believers that no one knows the day and the hour...best to let it go and be good all the time...
I think that was more of a message to his fellow man back in the day. My wife comes from Montreal and she spoke on the Jewish population up there...Unpleasant experiences. Men sinning like crazy and acting like assholes because they believe they can say prayer sacrifice a goat and be "clean" the next day...free to act sinful(asshole like) again the next day.
SOme catholics could be described the same way... Sinnful (very asshole like ..ask the priests)
I still believe atonement comes from acts and deeds rather than prayer and well wishing.
But I have side tracked myself.
Back to the topic at hand.
Yeah I don't even think 2012 is a doomsday date... I do think the mayans stopped their for a reason and a pertinent reason not something touchey feely like a raising in consciousness or a doomy gloomy end of the world...
If any of has need to repent and put our faith back into high gear, now would appear to be a prime opportunity. I live every day thankful for many things. I assume nothing. I trust Jesus every moment, period. Man? Not so much.
