Hey, Doug McIntyre: Questioning the government shouldn't be verboten on national radio shows
Doubts about the official 9/11 story banned from nationally syndicated Red Eye Radio show By Martin Hill LibertyFight.com March 9, 2011
Doug McIntyre, longtime Los Angeles radio personality and host of nationally syndicated late night talk show 'Red Eye Radio', advertises the fact that callers are welcome to discuss 'anything and everything'.
Apparently, however, there is at least one topic that is officially 'verboten': that is, casting any doubt on the government's official version of 9/11/01.
On March 8, (it was actually Monday night at 11:15pm California time) I called in to the second hour of McIntyre's show after I heard him discussing a brand new video which had been released of the twin towers, filmed from a police helicopter on 9/11/01. McIntyre made reference to 9/11 being America's modern day Pearl Harbor, explaining how the tragedy still evokes great emotion.
I wasn't on hold very long at all, particularly in comparison to other widely listened to radio shows. After less than 10 minutes waiting, I was on air to discuss Pearl Harbor with the jazz aficianado host.
I then mentioned the fact that the neoconservative think tank 'Project for the New American Century, commonly referred to as PNAC, had called for a 'New pearl Harbor' in 2000 as a necessary precedent in order for the administration to launch their preemptive wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. The document, Rebuilding America's Defenses, had been temporarily removed from the group's website after it attracted significant attention in the aftermath of 9/11, but was later put back up. The PNAC document opined "the process of transformation, even if it brings revolutionary change, is likely to be a long one, absent some catastrophic and catalyzing event -- like a new Pearl Harbor."
McIntyre didn't seem to have any problem with this, the fact that administration officials such as Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, Condoleezza Rice, and even the president's brother Jeb bush signed on to the PNAC plan.
What outraged McIntyre most, and prompted him to abruptly end the call and hang up on me, was the fact that I mentioned that he was familiar with the conspiracy issues surrounding 9/11 and that the buildigns were brought down by 'controlled demolition'. McIntyre, when he was a host at KABC 790 in Los Angeles, had discussed the issue before, took calls on it, and suggested that he was open to having guests on to debate and examine the issue.
Now that he's nationally syndicated, I guess the issue has grown 'tedious' for him. But if McIntyre is so loyal to the government story, it doesn't make sense for him to be outraged at the suggestion of controlled demolition, since George W. Bush himself said that there were explosives in the twin towers.
Tim Roemer of the 9/11 Commission and Donald Rumsfeld, Secretary of Defense, both said that a missile hit the Pentagon . Rumsfeld also said that the plane in Pennsylvania was shot down, all facts which are in contradiction to the official story.
According to his KABC 790 bio, McIntyre is married to an actress and stepfather to "Buck", a UCLA college student and "Captain and Black Hawk pilot for the United States Army".
While McIntyre rakes in the 'bucks' as an establishmemt propagandist, his son Buck unwittingly serves as a pawn for the Military industrial complex. So in a way, it's understandable that the radio host goes out of his way to make psychological justifications about Arab boogeymen who are out to get us.
Nevertheless, a radio show which advertises an open dialogue about 'any and all issues' should not seek to silence the voice of dissent. After all, isn't the freedom of ideas what America is all about? Scores of government, military, and academic insiders have questioned the government version of 9/11/01. McIntyre should have the courage to examine the facts and tolerate intellectual liberty. Here is McIntyre's twitter account and email contact info. The call in number to the show, which airs nightly and has an (allegedly) 'open lines' format, is 1-866-907-3339 (866-90-REDEYE). A youtube clip of the call can be found here.
