JERUSALEM – Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says Republican Sen. John McCain is joining his call urging the release of an American convicted of spying for Israel more than two decades ago.

Netanyahu said in a statement that McCain pledged his support in a phone conversation Thursday.

Jonathan Pollard was an intelligence analyst for the U.S. Navy when arrested in Washington in 1985. He pleaded guilty to passing secrets to Israel and received a life sentence.

McCain's voice joins those of other U.S. officials, including former U.S. Secretary of State Henry Kissinger and ex-CIA Director R. James Woolsey.

Critics say Pollard has languished in jail far longer than others sentenced for lesser offenses and that he passed on secrets that were supposed to be shared with Israel anyway.

John McCain hasn't known what he was doing since they released him the his POW cage.

His impairments have not made a damn thing better for any of us. As for Pollack ... screw him. He needs to die in HIS cage.

And as for Benjamin Netanyahu. He needs to mind his own business before I find a jihadist who is looking for work!!!

How does that make sense? He has been in jail longer than other people who committed less serious crimes....uh huh. I guess then if he had actually murdered someone that he should get less time than someone who robbed a convenience store after closing hours and never killed or hurt anyone. Yeah.

He (Gordon Duff) also implies that forcibly removing Obama, a Constitution-hating, on-the-down-low, crackhead Communist, is an attack on America, Mom, and apple pie. I swear these military people are worse than useless. Just look around at the condition of the country and tell me if they have fulfilled their oaths to protect the nation from all enemies foreign and domestic.

I think letting them have Pollard is fine idea, however, they must take the other traitor McCain.

Both betrayed their country, hang "em.

A splendid idea. I would go along with letting them have Pollard if they would take that warmonger McCain too.

McCain McKooK had an entire combat time in the fire zone of 23 hours.

For which he was promoted and awarded 13 medals.

An olde Korean war friend of mine flew 160 mission in Nam, received a DFC and got the boot out when the war started winding down.

He was a bitter man.

Sounds like he had a pretty good reason to be bitter. McCain gets all the adulation and hero worship even though he sold out to the communists and your friend got the shaft. I reckon most of us would be bitter.

My friend was off the street pilot, no Annapolis, Daddy not an Admiral.

After Korea I tried to get him to get out. He stayed and was used, and when the war wound down he and many others were thrown out.

I'll throw in a kenyan to seal the deal.

Let's get it done!

Sir Lod...

Mull over what you said.

As things appear now, Obama would lose in 12, would that not be highly embarrassing, and an affirmation of his total lack of ability to be President????

I suspect the system will not go that way.

I'd give the jiz one Pollard, one McKook, one kenyan, for one Ron Paul.

Straight up, no booty, either way.

Sir Lod...

At your age, you will witness a lot of turmoil in your time.

The greatest disappointment for me in 80 years is to realize our government is now our enemy.

War, pestilence and poverty we could overcome or at least manage, but this evil government is now too big, too strong, too willing to crush the masses.

Yep, give them the Kenyan (though I don't know why they would want him), McCain and Pollard. If they want traitors (to America)* so bad, they should take those three at minimum.

*I am not sure if the Kenyan could be classified as a traitor to America since he isn't an American. Whatever, he should still be deported and/or given to any country that would take him so long as they promise to not let him come back to America.

Pollard should have been executed, and still should be.

Amen! That wouldn't be popular to display on a large poster in front of the White House or the U.S. Capitol Building these days.
