Lod, If you are asking if it is mandated, or an actual law, that anyone sign up for Medicare, no. There is no requirement that any Citizen volunteer into any government program. BTW, that includes Social Security. Thanks to the public school system, 99 percent of the "sheeple" don't realize when they volunteer into one of these programs, the relinquish some of their Constitutional rights, ie: convert their rights into "privileges", which are subject to revocation.

Just don't make any claim. Yes, if you've paid into SS, you loose it. If you haven't signed up for an SSN, ie: haven't volunteered into the system, don't. If you already have volunteered, ie: have an SSN, they will not cancel it. If you ask the SS Admin, they will tell you that you are NOT required to have an SSN to work in the USSA, BUT, if you want to claim any "benefits" you will need one. You could wait until you want to make a claim, when you're 100, and then get a number, I suppose.
