Just in case you have not heard or missed it ,

https://www.txsurchargeonline.com/AmnestyMain.aspx

That is a link to the texas ticket amnesty page. If you enroll you only have to pay ten percent of your total debt owed.

I just enrolled and got informed my projected amount now owed will be 0.00

and I had thousands in fines. I had already made payments though. So I figure those must of been applied.

ANYWAYS

IF you have tickets in texas follow the link to get in on the amnesty

Thousands in fines for what?

Exactly. ;-)

Thousands in fines for what?

For driving with out a license.

over and over and over.

I have been driving since I was 15. I haven't had a license since I was 17.

But those fines are no more. My slate with texas is clean WOOOOOT

Now all that is left is my virignia fines.

when I was 18 I got caught with a bowl of pot. 750 dollar fine I never paid. THe communist commonwealth put an out of state hold on my license until I pay them too...

Don't ask me how their jurisdiction extends to Texas.

I'll never understand that.

So what, you keep getting tickets for driving with no license?

I'm half-envious here.

Don't they ever arrest you?

For awhile yes. I kept on getting tickets for no DL. Most of the time I did keep uninsured motorist liability although a time or two that lapsed and I got hit with that too.

And no I never got arrested for it. Had to have others drive me and my car home a time or two but never arrested for no DL.

I can be very persuasive when I need to be.

Persuasive in what way?

What did they do with your car all those times?

Persuasive.

I'm a good talker.

My car? Sometimes I got to drive on other times someone else had to be called to do the driving.

The only people that ever towed me was Virginia...when I was broke down on the side of the road....waiting for a friend with tools to help me.....I had not even been there 24 hours...I despise the state of virignia. It was also that same incident where I got the charge for the bowl of pot....

meh...tales of a misspent youth I suppose.

In what other ways does not having a license help you or hurt you?

Well , as an anarchist I have not given a flip about it for years. Let the state get their pound of flesh from someone else. Yet, as a realist, this amnesty thing was waaaaay to good to pass up.

My new Texas balance is 0!

So woot that. Now all I gotta do is unclench and finish off the BJ I owe Virginia. Then it's off to legal driving.

I care alot more now that the fines are alot less. It makes compliance easier then not giving a shit.

dont do that in california. The pigs will steal the car immediately on the spot of anyone caught driving without a so-called 'license'...UNLESS you're an illegal alien, that is. Then generally they'll let you go & not impound your car.

is this an actual government program? b/c it ends in .com not gov. Also, i must input that fines are not owed if one whoops the state's ass in court. Never plead guilty, especially since TX allows for jury trials for traffic tickets.

Oh I see, so if VA got cleared up, you'd get a license?

Not would, will. I shall clear up the Virginia BS and then I'll be done with it and no more hassle when Johnny Law stops me for an interview.

As for this ending in a .com yes it is legit. The Municipal service bureau is the collection arm of TDPS. Kinda like the IRS not an actual part of the government but in the US vrs THEM scheme of things that don't really matter because those fines remain until you pay...

Unless you apply for the amnesty and anyone in texas still has a few more days to do so if you haven't already.

As for fighting my Texas tickets... Their is no need now. I'm absolved. But even if I had not been their never was any hope in hell for me... I am a repeat no DL offender.

I believe in my right of freedom of travel....TDPS says that I need a license drive or else. Despite that I always choose the or else...which caused me problems from time to time. Thankfully that will no longer be an issue.

Yes, this is a state of TX revenue generating program.

thanks for the info. Sounds like the state compromised in order to collect somnething on back fines rather than getting nothing, from resistors. TX DPS is going to need that revenue. ;-)
