Title: President Obama Goes to War - Without Congress

Regardless of one's inclination toward the "freedom fighters" and the "monster" in Libya, or the wisdom of United States military intervention, there are certain formalities that are required, and that President Obama and his administration, including Secretary of State Clinton, appear determined to ignore, in violation of both the Constitution and United States Law.

Article 1, Section 8 of the Constitution specifies that it is the Congress that has the power to declare war. United States Code (50 U.S.C. 1541-1548), the War Powers Act, specifically states that the president may undertake the use of military force only in the case of "... a national emergency created by attack upon the United States, its territories or possessions, or its armed forces." It further states that the President must consult with Congress, "...in every possible instance shall consult with Congress before introducing United States Armed Forces into hostilities ..."

Membership in the United Nations does not grant the Security Council the authority to order U.S. forces into action, and being the President does not permit Obama to violate the Constitution and the Law, to commit an act of war without the authorization of the People, through their Congress.

Not that it matters to the bloody oinkers who pull the triggers, but they did take an oath to uphold the constitution, no? Did they know what they were doing when they raised their right hand? Is it ignorance, or do they simply get off killing innocent people?

That is not rational.

Cyni, what's irrational is any kind of support for these pigs. There is far too much information available to these troops for them to remain ignorant.

The US has been involved in numerous atrocities since WWII--which most thinking people would call wars, especially the ones who were getting bombed or seeing their friends and family members die--and in no case was there any declaration of war by Congress. Hasn't been since WWII. Didn't matter which label the president ran under, whether he be a democrat or a republican, he got us involved in wars without the declaration the Constitution says is required.

Liberty is not a means to a higher political end. It is itself the highest political end.

He (Gordon Duff) also implies that forcibly removing Obama, a Constitution-hating, on-the-down-low, crackhead Communist, is an attack on America, Mom, and apple pie. I swear these military people are worse than useless. Just look around at the condition of the country and tell me if they have fulfilled their oaths to protect the nation from all enemies foreign and domestic.

Yes indeed, and the one constant are the troops who ignore their oath to the Constitution.

Cyni, what's irrational is any kind of support for these pigs. There is far too much information available to these troops for them to remain ignorant.

Attaching the blame where it belongs is rational and the most important factor. Lowering the blame on the "ones" that pull the trigger is misplaced, that has always been true in any and all military operations and will never change.

Case in point is Manning. That young man did NOT pull any trigger but he did DISOBEY ORDERS and for that he will spend much of his life in prison. It is not the trigger pullers that will send him to prison for life, it is the people ABOVE that run the operation and NEVER pull any triggers.

Recall the young lady from WV and the prisoner on a dog leash, she pulled no triggers but spent three years in prison for it, the OIC retired on full pension.

Being a "trigger puller" is the lowest man at the bottom of the ladder, step out of line and you will be crushed. They are not stupid, ignorant nor killers, nor pigs, they are Americans from the lowest social class being used.

Hate the users not the used.

Yes and yes.

There has been NO constitutional war since WW2. We are all aware of that.

That has been true now for 66 long years. Hundreds or thousands of men have tried to avoid such service during that time. Many were thrown into the front lines as cannon fodder for daring to dissent. That is cold hard fact.

In 1952, two FBI (exempt from service) and local police came for me. I was a horrible draft dodger during an unconstitutional war. Did my neighbors storm those gentlemen in my defense???

Of course not, they cared less plus I was already in Korea.

Now, what do you think would have happened to me Jethro, had I been there and demanded my rights to not participate in an unconstitutional war??????????????????????

Using the term unconstitutional war as a rallying point is not valid now as it has been is use for over sixty years.

I know of no war since WW2 that was constitutional and yet was legitimized by every Congress...THAT WE VOTED FOR...

Tell that to Ehren Watada.

If using the term "unconstitutional war" is no longer valid, why would anyone bother to take an oath to uphold it?

You are sympathetic to those who were drafted and who therefore and thereafter followed orders. There is no draft now, and Jethro correctly points out that today's plethora of information and awareness, thanks to the magnificent enlightenment afforded by the Internet, is lightyears above and beyond what the draftees - and draft dodgers - knew during the Korean "Police Action"; thus, Jethro has no sympathy for those who volunteer to join the military, who know that they'll be killing innocent citizens who, along with their government, are no threat to the United States.

I dont know of anyone that does.

Worthless piece of paper.

The Constitution has always been used as a weapon when needed, been disregarded when it was an obstruction.

War has been unconstitutional since 1945, to all of a sudden use it as a weapon after 60 years shows someone has not been paying attention.

War was never declared but off went I and a few million other social misfits, there was no hew and cry by anyone about constitutionality. About 40,000 of us died, no one cared about the constitution.

We are about sixty years late in awakening, and now it is the blame of the misfits for this endless war. I would like to see any order of any kind, directing any action, signed by a Private since 1950.

Actually I have been quite aware of when there was a draft or no draft for quite some time.

As it seems experience is NOT a competent teacher, I will abide the superior knowledge of you and Jethro. I never waste my time stating the obvious.

They were voted for Jethro, by me and millions more, just as programmed.

That is not ignorance, it is stupidity. We are stupid when we do not realize the rope around our necks is not a necklace, just because we are taught it is patriotic to wear it.

No one is expecting you to "acquiesce" to anything. Rather observe the obvious, we have had unconstitutional wars for 60 years, that is fact. Last week they unleashed another one, and what did the people do????? Nothing Jethro, not a thing.

There was a protest last Saturday in Washington against wars. A few hundred showed up, a few hundred Jethro. One hundred and thirty million people voted for more war, trashed Paul, and a few hundred show up in protest.

Most of them were....VETS...way back to WW2.

No they weren't Cyni. When did you or I vote for war? Where we're negligent by allowing the PTB wage war unconstitutionally. That's where we dropped the ball. Others can do what they want, but my last vote was for Buchanan who opposes this crap and my next vote will be for someone similar. Sitting them out is a double loss, as domestically this mulatto bastard is unqualified and a racist. He has to go, and if that means me supporting RP, or any one who thinks like Paul, so be it. My last decade on non voting has been an unqualified failure.

PS: No need to tell u the difference between ignorance and stupidity. Up to Vietnam, the information we have now simply wasn't available.

If you're a military man and can read this, you should be on notice that whatever happens in one of our undeclared wars it's guys like this nose pickin' son of a bitch that always get off scot-free.

This booger eating advisor to our commander and chief said this:

"Military men are dumb, stupid animals to be used as pawns for foreign policy."

No matter how badly these pencil necks screw up a war, they will continue to get their limousines and pensions. If you screw the pooch, you will find yourself in the guard house.

I would not sign up for this military, no sir, no way. And if I had signed up, I would get the hell out at the first opportunity.

It is a violation of Natural Law to use this document in a manner inconsistent with its labeling.
