Thanks for this. How adorable. I also viewed the vid that showed the poor little thing was rescued from a spiders web. Imagine how tiny it must have been.

Amazing. Glad he caught it on film.

When I was a kid, my sister and I would go to my grandmother's house in the summer and she would give us each a clear quart mason jar. She had all kinds of honeysuckle and flowers around her house and we would just walk up behind the hummers while they were feeding and push them into our jars, without hurting them. We would walk around all day with a jar of hummers and let them go at night.

I've never been able to do the same thing as an adult, or see another adult do it, but I'm sure its done.

Hummers migrate thousands of miles, with some migrating all the way up into Alaska each year. They have uncanny pinpoint accuracy in their natural GPS.

Thanks for the ping. I loved that video. I have had the pleasure of holding hummingbird's in my hand but only because they had flown against the window and stunned themselves. When they did I would hold them in my palm and let the sun shine on them and, in a few minutes, they would look around, see that there was some kind of giant holding them and fly away. But I felt privileged to get to hold one even for a few minutes.

Liberty is not a means to a higher political end. It is itself the highest political end.

He (Gordon Duff) also implies that forcibly removing Obama, a Constitution-hating, on-the-down-low, crackhead Communist, is an attack on America, Mom, and apple pie. I swear these military people are worse than useless. Just look around at the condition of the country and tell me if they have fulfilled their oaths to protect the nation from all enemies foreign and domestic.

My brother and I saw it when we were just kids. We took it totally seriously at that age and were horrified by it. Haven't seen it since.

It's hysterically funny!

I was horrified as a kid by that spider going to suck out David Edison's innards.
