Maybe someone can find him/her. Isn't there some legal precident for filing a lawsuit for doing that? Remember someone hacked Palin's email...and I think the guy went to jail, or something bad happened to him.

Yeah, anyone could find out, at least for the # she claimed was the hacker's number. I imagine--and this is assuming that there were actually any "hacking" going on, the hacker would use a proxy and she wouldn't have gotten the actual IP.

I guess she doesn't know that it's a federal crime, and is a felony in the UK as well, punishable by 10 years in prison.

I noticed that. And if someone there did what they thought she wanted them to do and got caught then it is likely she would be charged with conspiracy. And those aren't light charges either.
