I'm posting the IP of the person who hacked Yukon's posting file.

95.154.230.253 password hacker (hacked yukon)

95.154.230.291

Maybe someone can find him/her. Isn't there some legal precident for filing a lawsuit for doing that? Remember someone hacked Palin's email...and I think the guy went to jail, or something bad happened to him.

Anyone Know?

Yeah, anyone could find out, at least for the # she claimed was the hacker's number. I imagine--and this is assuming that there were actually any "hacking" going on, the hacker would use a proxy and she wouldn't have gotten the actual IP.

Personal e-mail and anonymous forum made up identity are not the same thing. Too Conservative has already offered a brief course on the aspects of this matter over at LP, the "Internet Sleuths" and the Clueless Crew should really read TC's insightful commentary.

I did post on the topic over at LP. I only spent about 15 minutes looking it up but I think I have it right. I hadn't realized Goldi had posted the IP address until I noticed your post on this thread and got curious about it.

You are now the lone voice of reason, a voice in the wilderness if you will. You've provided excellent insights.

JRiggs left me in the dust. I made ten times more work of it than I had to.

If I were doing it seriously, I'd want a VPN connection so I could run a scripted password cracker with a dictionary at full speed. Since yukon has a regional screen name, you could up the odds by trying passwords like caribou or Seward or ANWAR or similar Alaskaish names and improve the odds of guessing it in only a few thousand attempts.

Hmmm, imagine if one of those words you gave as examples really WAS yukon's password.

ewecon is a simpleton so the password would have to be a word constantly on his mind and within hands reach, something like STERNO.
