I am naive and gullible enough to believe man can drop his animal nature (mark of the beast) and become a soul building human. What we see today is not human nature but, the last drum beats of our animal nature.
It will soon become obvious to all that we are brothers and sisters in a huge creation, having a common Father/Creator. We are family.
The universe is friendly and I look forward to the next phase of eternal evolution. Do not be too bummed about what goes on around us on this planet.
"There is in the mind of god a plan which embraces every creature of all his vast domains, and this plan is an eternal purpose of boundless opportunity, unlimited progress, and endless life. And the infinite treasures of such a matchless career are yours for the striving!"
"Having started out on the way of life everlasting, having accepted the assignment and received your orders to advance, do not fear the dangers of human forgetfulness and mortal inconstancy, do not be troubled with doubts of failure or by perplexing confusion, do not falter and question your status and standing, for in every dark hour, at every crossroad in the forward struggle, the Spirit of Truth will always speak, saying, "This is the way."
"THE HUMAN PARADOX Many of the temporal troubles of mortal man grow out of his twofold relation to the cosmos. Man is a part of nature he exists in nature and yet he is able to transcend nature. Man is finite, but he is indwelt by a spark of infinity. Such a dual situation not only provides the potential for evil but also engenders many social and moral situations fraught with much uncertainty and not a little anxiety."
"The mechanistic naturalism of some supposedly educated men and the thoughtless secularism of the man in the street are both exclusively concerned with things; they are barren of all real values, sanctions, and satisfactions of a spiritual nature, as well as being devoid of faith, hope, and eternal assurances. One of the great troubles with modern life is that man thinks he is too busy to find time for spiritual meditation and religious devotion." The Urantia Book
