She sez "for years" she believed ... How old is she? Doesn't look to be very old to me. However, the bookshelf behind her displays two books by Gore Vidal. After that observation, and a few more ridiculous statements that made her inexperience even more obvious, I shut it off.
Could you live in a society where there was no authority, no established order, or no ruling power? We have enough trouble living in a republic that is formed around democratic principles with rules, laws and requirements every where we turn.
I prefer not to live in such disorder as anarchy would present, and this lady is a self-proclaimed anarchist.
Yes, I am ready for self governance, which includes the dismissal of those who would claim the right to order the rest of us around. [Spooner]
I have to take exception with what both of you say. If you have lived close enough to Watts, the South Bronx or a like area where those who live there take orders from no one, have no respect for authority and could care less how their activity affects others person or property, then you should be able to envision what anarchy would bring.
Furthermore, a quick study of the history of the homosapien will prove why anarchy won't work. Human behavior itself prevents a rational behaving and successful society under anarchism.
You think there would be no "elitism" under anarchy? Think again. The meek and weak would become slaves of many kinds.
