Let's talk about Church and State. Churches operate on voluntary donations. Some have been in business providing beneficial services for millenia to those in need. The .govs could learn to better manage their fiscal budgets and available resources from their many goodly models and examples.

Case in point, just look at how government employees condescend and deal with those that they are supposed to be serving! It's a case study in how-not-to regarding customer service. No private company could stay in business behaving like the Government(s) do from a customer service perspective alone Yeah, but check this out whenever you have the time -- or at least the description of it, from the vintage series The Adventures of Robin Hood. Watch the full episode of "The Road in the Air" here or here: Description: Sir William has imposed a duty on all grain taken to Tom's mill, and unless it's paid, he will see nobody crosses his land. When Robin hears about this, he thinks of a way to get the grain to the mill without anyone setting foot on Sir William's land. The sainted Abraham Lincoln authorized the Army of the Potomac to wage a genocidal war against the Confederate States of America and that established a centralized federal tyranny that has always had it's own best interests in mind, the citizens be damned all the way up to 2011.

Problem is that for the .govs it's not about fiscal responsibility, it's about power and control, ... at all levels whether they care to admit it or not and whether it be collective-gov or independent pig politician being irrelevant to the rest of us.
