A 25-mile commute through Russian traffic and a powerful two-wheeled samurai sword, and you get a video showing the "quick" way to work. Sometimes this two-wheeler even becomes a one-wheeler as rare empty stretches of road disappear when the nose goes skyward. Hang On !! I think it would be SERIOUSLY neat if a bunch of the "crazy" folks on this forum could plan a little "get together". I mean, how fun would THAT BE! Hey, we could EVEN invite some of the feds that monitor this site...you know...so we could get to know them and they could get to know us!
test ride one first...but from people that own them, once you try it out...be prepared to drive it home!
I stupidly clicked on the link and saw it - what a beauty, with a semi-auto tranny, and only 3 miles. Late last year we were discussing getting together at christine's gorgeous home, but right now, it is 96 and feels like 99: too damned hot to do anything but crank down the AC, and find a cool one.

that's ONE of the reasons I don't miss Atlanta...the heat was awful and the humidity worse. Those kind of tempertures suck it out of me too. And yes, the Can Ams are beautiful machines...
That guy is going to be decorating the road with his brains sooner than later if he drives like that everyday.

Now that you mention it, I remember that being the case...fortunately, I'm not an allergy sufferer so it never really bothered me, but I certainly remember most of my friends had a horrible time with it. It was mostly indoors and a/c for me when the temps went north. Atlanta had 2 tempertures...hot and unbearable. It's not called Hotlanta for nothing...although that would also descibe a great majority of the fairer sex...that place had the most beautiful women of any place I've ever been...simply stunning!
Yes, I remember the 750. It was indeed a good-sized bike. I like old bikes too and if I had the money and could find one I would buy an old pan or knuck and make another chopper. I think that there is nothing much prettier than a pan or knucklehead Harley engine in a twin downtube, rigid frame (or soft tail) with a beautiful custom paint job. Those are pics I found of a 1947 knuck which has been highly customized. And a nice panhead on youtube:

The pans and knuckles are true classics and people ALWAYS gravitate to them when one shows up...and the stories go on for hours. The one in the picture...now THAT'S a classic. Mine wasn't quite that raked out but that sure brings back memories. It's a blast seeing this vintage machines at these gatherings...and "rat bikes"...but THAT'S a whole nother topic.

Your guess would be correct. I stopped the video for the interchange signs and it clearly showed he was going north on 75/85.

Thanks. When a pan cranks in one kick, yeah, that's sweet! The '65 I had was a pan (first year they came out actually) and it was a rare thing when it cranked on the first kick when it was cold.

Mine was pretty close to that in the front end. A very long bike and not really a good ride in the mountains but fun on a good stretch of road. But hit a bump with it at any speed and you could just about count on going airborne. No suspension to speak of in those springs on the springer. But it LOOKED good and when I was the age I was then, that was what counted, y'know?

Remember when the Honda came out with the 750 four cylinder...that was considered a HUGE bike. I have a friend that rides an old 47 Indian. Those old bikes are GREAT...I don't know if you do any of the rallies, but you get to see some really beautiful vintage bikes. Anything on 2 wheels is great. Hey, who knows, I may end up with a Gold Wing also...my wife wants something more "comfortable",... go figure! :?)
