Ok we can just agree to disagree on that one. Keywords and their meanings: "Fine": This is the word we use at the end of any argument that we feel we are right about but need to shut you up. NEVER use fine to describe how woman looks. This will cause you to have one of those arguments. "Five minutes": This is half an hour. It is equivalent to the five minutes that your football game is going to last before you take out the trash, so it's an even trade. "Nothing": This means something and you should be on your toes. "Nothing" is usually used to describe the feeling a woman has of wanting to turn you inside out, upside down, and backwards. "Nothing" usually signifies an argument that will last "Five Minutes" and end with the word "Fine". "Go Ahead" (with raised eyebrows): This is a dare. One that will result in a woman getting upset over "Nothing" and will end with the word "Fine". "Go Ahead" (normal eyebrows): This means "I give up" or "do what you want because I don't care". You will get a raised eyebrow "Go ahead" in just a few minutes, followed by "Nothing" and "Fine" and she will talk to you in about "Five Minutes" when she cools off. "Loud Sigh" : This is not actually a word, but is still often a verbal statement very misunderstood by men. A "Loud Sigh" means she thinks you are an idiot at that moment and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and arguing with you over "Nothing". "Soft Sighs": Again, not a word, but a verbal statement. "Soft Sighs" are one of the few things that some men actually understand. She is content. Your best bet is to not move or breathe and she will stay content. "Oh": This word followed by any statement is trouble. Example; "Oh, let me get that". Or, "Oh, I talked to him about what you were doing last night." If she says "Oh" before a statement, RUN, do not walk, to the nearest exit. She will tell you that she is "Fine" when she is done tossing your clothes out the window, but do not expect her to talk to you for at least 2 days. "Oh" as the lead to a sentence usually signifies that you are caught in a lie. Do not try to lie more to get out of it, or you will get raised eyebrows "Go ahead" followed by acts so unspeakable that we can't bring ourselves to write about them. "That's Okay": This is one of the most dangerous statements that a woman can say to a man. "That's Okay" means that she wants to think long and hard before paying you retributions for what ever it is that you have done. "That's Okay" is often used with the word "Fine" and used in conjunction with a raised eyebrow "Go ahead". At some point in the near future when she has plotted and planned, you are going to be in some mighty big trouble. "Please Do": This is not a statement, it is an offer. A woman is giving you the chance to come up with whatever excuse or reason you have for doing whatever it is that you have done. You have a fair chance to tell the truth, so be careful and you shouldn't get a "That's Okay". "Thanks": A woman is thanking you. Do not faint; just say you're welcome. "Thanks a lot": This is much different from "Thanks". A woman will say, "Thanks a lot" when she is really ticked off at you. It signifies that you have hurt her in some callous way, and will be followed by the "Loud Sigh". Be careful not to ask what is wrong after the "Loud Sigh", as she will only tell you "Nothing". I hope this clears up any misunderstandings...

Carburetor? They phased those out in 06. I know that because I bought an 06 because I wanted one. They're less picky on fuel. That said, who cares if the bike has some foreign parts. I'm sure the Honda does to. The bottom line: HD is an American legend, they sound different, they ride different, they're built different, they last longer,they're the best, and the choice of the best. The rice grinder crowd is always making excuses why they bough some piece of jap crap. You saved some money? Good, spend it on leathers and tattoos so you can look like a Hog rider but remember: We're all laughing at you.

my life would have been a lot less complicated with that list 20 years ago...I've got the "fine" thing figured out, and it was figured out early. When my future wife asked me one night how she looked on the way out the door, I replied "fine". I "came to" about 2 hours latter...with a crystal clear understanding that "fine", when describing how your significant other looks, would resurrect the spawn of Satan!
Even Sonny Barger quit Harley, he's on a Victory Vision because he said the amount of miles he rides each year makes a Harley worthless upon trade-in (for him). Read it in the April 2011 issue of Twisted South. That's my contribution to this thread :-)

honestly...I like all bikes. But the one thing Harley definitely has over other bikes is trade-in value, even the older ones are highly sought after. 30 year old Harleys are still looked upon as an American Classic...and they are. Having said all that...ALL modern bikes are so much better made than they were 15 years ago it's really kinda pointless arguing who makes "the best". We all ride what we ride because we like to ride it. The Japanese HAVE done a wonderful job of capturing the allure of the Harley V-Twins...I think the Shadow is a GREAT looking bike...and from a distance, I have a hard time telling what's a Harley and what isn't.

And I'll keep kickin it until the bitch bike riders are on their knees crying for their mothers! I've owned 8 bikes in my life and I've been riding since I was 15 (only got run over once) 1 - Puch Now, I've never ridden more than about 300 miles in a day but I've ridden in 3 countries on 2 continents. I've ridden everything from dirt trails to perfectly paved roads. I know what lasts, what breaks and what wears out. Without a doubt, the HD is the finest road machine I have ever mounted. I can't comment on the other American made bikes nor the Euro-peon stuff, but I'm still waiting to see a jap bike with 30,000 miles on it that's not ready for the scrap heap. And yeah, I know all about the high milage Gold Wings. If I wanted to pull a trailer, I'd buy a convertible.

That's funny but true...I rode to Sturgis with a buddy that rides a big Yamaha...he was completely decked out in Harley garb. I ribbed him about it for 4,000 miles.

My Yamaha buddy often refers to "moving up" to a Harley...He'll be the first to say he wants one. He rode mine one day and said the difference was unbelievable. I know I've put loads of miles on mine, had many 500 mile plus days and I've never thought, boy, I wish I had something else.

maybe, but my FXSTC has a wide 200 back tire and a skinny 21 inch front tire so tire width isn't such a great guide anymore. The bike in the 2nd video is really nice.
