A 25-mile commute through Russian traffic and a powerful two-wheeled samurai sword, and you get a video showing the "quick" way to work. My Yamaha buddy often refers to "moving up" to a Harley...He'll be the first to say he wants one. He rode mine one day and said the difference was unbelievable. I know I've put loads of miles on mine, had many 500 mile plus days and I've never thought, boy, I wish I had something else.

maybe, but my FXSTC has a wide 200 back tire and a skinny 21 inch front tire so tire width isn't such a great guide anymore. The bike in the 2nd video is really nice.

the new screaming eagles have 110's. Mine is a 103 with 6 speeds and it pulls like a freight train at 90 mph, I can't imagine what the bigger motors feel like. I only tech 2500ish rpms at 75 mph.
I read an article on those not long ago in "Rider" magizine. It was a VERY positive article.
Just ask how many 1940 thru 1980 Hondas are still on the road today. :) Just stand at any intersection in the summer for a half hour and you are sure to see several HDs from way back when.

Mine's coming up on 40 years old, and it's getting refreshed again so it can keep putting along for another 10 or 12 years. Got all the sheet metal off it tonight and sanded off the old paint. Tomorrow the heads and jugs come off for a fresh top end. Next weekend the paint should be done, in two weeks she'll be good as new, once again. :)

This is a group gathering. We only have two bikes. The VTX and a Yamaha 400 for our son to ride. I'm just a passanger though I have toyed with the idea of learning to ride myself. I wanted to learn when I was younger but had no one to teach me. I doubt that I'm much younger than you. Besides, I like men who are not just old enough to know what they are doing but have had enough practice to do it well.
