That IN pig judge got me to thinking about this.

I was able to find this info sometimes. It was strictly hit and miss, mostly miss.

So, for entertainments sake, and hypothetically speaking, how can this be done reliably? Hopefully for free? Phone numbers would be nice too.

You can start by finding a local process server in the area who would probably know just where to find them to serve the summons and complaint. Judges and cops can be personally served a lawsuit by the county sheriff if in State court. They will tell you they cannot be served in person but that is to obstruct the court proceedings. They not only can be found but can be served in their own damn offices.

If you are filing a lawsuit in federal court, hand your summons and complaint over to the U.S. Marshall's office, (or hire a process server), and they will find the person(s) to be served in person the papers. I have personally done this with serving lawsuits against 60 cops and also against a state attorney general and a state employee who moved out of state to another state and was successfully served the lawsuit at their front desk. Another one I had successfully served was a professor who was at a college graduation ceremony. He was served the lawsuit in front of over 2000 spectators successfully by a processor server and private investigator I hired to locate the bastard and serve him. It was fantastic and was well worth the money! You must make certain that the process server sees to it that the person has not only been served the papers but that he(process server) returns the Proofs of Service to you. These become your originals. Make several copies for yourself and one for the court. Submit the Original and a Copy and one of your copies to the court to be stamped so that you have it documented that your paperwork is filed timely so that it is not dismissed with prejudice.

Oh I loved it too! When the Private Investigator and process server told me the reaction of the professor being angry and trying to resist the process, it was ABSOLUTELY priceless. Especially, while he (the professor) was walking along with the other professors up to the podium to address the graduation commencement exercise. He was one of those commie uppidity type PH.D scholars who had been trying to evade service even when I had contacted the school officials to inquire of his whereabouts. Apparently, they (school administrators) were trying to protect his candy ass by giving him the heads up not to be in his office. But I nailed him. I both shocked and embarassed him and the entire school. That was my f.u. to him and them all!

Not me but a friend of mine. I managed to do some investigation into the teacher by quietly sitting in the classroom to observe for myself one day. Apparently, this teacher seemed to think that spewing anti-american sentiment was protected speech in the classroom paid by the taxpayers. It is absolutely not protected speech but falls under "fighting words" doctrine and had there been a military veteran sitting in there, they would have had the perfect right to cold-cock that bastard clear across the room. My friend told them they should leave this country then which the teacher took as disruptive to their classroom. After taking note of this teacher's rants, I looked into some legal issues and helped construct up the lawsuit.
