Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has warned against plots hatched by the United States to save Israel, urging world nations to remain vigilant.

“The US seeks to save the Zionist regime (Israel) with deceit. Everybody should know that the survival of the Zionist regime and its existence even in one span of the Palestinian soil is like preserving a cancerous tumor in the body of regional nations, and [is] a permanent threat against them,” said President Ahmadinejad in the Iranian city of Qom on Thursday.

He added that the Iranian people and world nations are awakened and demand justice, freedom and the complete elimination of Israel, IRNA reported.

The Iranian chief executive pointed to new plots of the US against the Palestinian people and its support for Israel and said, “Nations should choose officials who explicitly express their opposition to the presence of the US and Zionists in the region.”

President Ahmadinejad warned regional countries against an escalation of the situation in the region, stressing, “They should be cautious not to jump out of the frying-pan into the fire.”

He said the US foreign policy after Iran's Islamic Revolution of 1979 has been aimed at stopping the progress of the Iranian nation and stressed that US President Barack Obama will “fail and become history with humiliation.”

“The enemy has worn the mask of deceit and is chanting the slogan of peaceful coexistence… but in fact intends to impose American ideas on nations,” Ahmadinejad added.

“Today, the plots of enemies have become more complicated than [those of] the past. They smile and threaten at the same time. They use their political, military and economic capabilities against nations while claiming to be flagbearers of defending human rights.”

"Iranian people and world nations are awakened and demand justice, freedom and the complete elimination of Israel"

Najad would have been much more credible and enlightening had he said: Iranian people and world nations, whose media and politicians are not serving the Zionist cause, are awakened and demand justice, freedom and the complete elimination of the illegal Israeli state.

On the other hand, Ahmadinejad may be just trying to keep his job:

Unprecedented accusation against Mahmoud Ahmadinejad: a Muslim cleric accused the Iranian president of wanting "friendship with Israel," an Iranian website associated with the opposition reported on Thursday.

According to religious scholar Mahmoud Nubian, Ahmadinejad's top adviser Esfandiar Rahim Mashaei stated three years ago that Iran should have "friendly ties" with the Jewish State, but Ahmadinejad has refrained from reiterating this position in public because of supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei's fierce objection.

Nubian further claimed that the Iranian president personally told him that he supported Mashaei's statement, but couldn’t say anything out of respect to the leader.

According to the report, Nubian – who is associated with radical cleric Ayatollah Mesbah Yazdi – said that since Mashaei entered the cabinet, "Khamenei has been forced to intervene," hinting at a split between the supreme leader and the president's top aide.

The report came after several stormy weeks in the Iranian political apparatus over the unprecedented feud between Ahmadinejad and Khamenei. The latter, who is known as having the final say on all state matters, has been increasingly worried about Mashaei's influence over the president, which is reinforced by their family relations, as Ahmadinejad's daughter is married to Mashaei's son.

“Nations should choose officials who explicitly express their opposition to the presence of the US and Zionists in the region.”

Hitler wanted to send the Joos to the beautiful island paradise of Madagascar, but the Joos would not listen. They wanted to go to Palestine. This spawned the Transfer Agreement. The Joos could go to Palestine, but they had to leave thier personal wealth behind.

(BTW, this reminds me of an incident when I worked for the State of Illinois. We had an engineer who wrote a column for the Chicago Tribune, "I am a Zionist". His car was dirty and I wrote "WASH ME" on it. When he saw it he started jumping up and down and screaming. The yard engineer made the yard toadie wash his car. ROTFLMAO!)

Politicians like Ahmadinejad and for a long time, Mubarak, survive by doing what's politically expedient (recognizing Israel makes life easier, even though it's a criminal state) whereas clerics like Khamenei have to live by principle (it's unforgivably wrong to take Palestinian property at the point of a gun).
