Not so much issues, but political philosophies. I have been a registered Republican for 23 years. Before that, I was a Young Republican for three. In June of this year I changed my party affiliation to Independent because I felt my party left me. They are no longer the party of smaller, less intrusive government, but the party of drunken, irresponsible spending. My views have not changed one iota, the parties has.

After having done a bit of reflecting on the history of the party, I don't think it's changed. I think the GOP has always been about conserving their own wealth and power. I think what's changed is that they now have an administration who openly flaunts it and our eyes have been opened to it.

Now, is there anything that you have learned about an issue that you previously had a very strong opinion about that has influenced you to change your mind?

Btw, who is that creature in your tagline?

He's one of the zombie's from Indiana Jones. I figure I've been called a bot enough times that I should have fun with it.

As for my opinions, none have changed. I am still staunchly against global welfare, illegal immigration, affirmative action, and government involvement in anything not enumerated in the Constitution. There might be some ancillary issues that I have changed on, but the major ones have not changed.

Uh... No it's not. It's Boris Karloff from THE MUMMY.

And here I thought that it was Michael Chertoff all this time...
