Change of heart? Not really...I find myself paying less and less attention to so-called 'major issues' because it is too difficult to ascertain the truth anymore. I'll tend to my own affairs, till my garden, care for my wife and pets, and when 'they' come for me; that will be that.

It's my understanding that Torah believing Jews were to remain scattered among the nations of the earth until Christ returns to establish his Kingdom here.

Once I finally understood the difference between Jews and Zionists, all of it made some sense.

Isn't one of those snots that helped Bremer run Iraq head of Google now? I have mercifully forgotten his name.

The Register's article states: The company that prides itself on "Doing No Evil" isn't taking any chances with its latest executive appointment. Dan Senor, the company's new Global Communications and Strategy VP, has a CV guaranteed to have Register columnist Otto Z Stern firing a celebratory fusillade skywards from his compound in New Mexico. A former Senior Associate at the Carlyle Group, Senor was briefly Scott McLellan's deputy as White House spokesman before becoming head of the the Coalition Provisional Authority in Iraq's information department. The White House web site bills him as Senior Advisor to Presidential Envoy L. Paul Bremer III. Fox News hired Senor as a panelist in February. While in Iraq Senor showed his loyalty by going jogging in a Bush-Cheney '04 tracksuit.

Can there be something in there that after I take possession of all your stuff that I can get the American treasury to pay for the upkeep and security thereon? God says your house is mine and I want God to order Uncle Sam to make the mortgage payments, too. That seems fair and righteous and should be part of the deal.

I really want to know more on the subject.

Why?

You say God gave the land to the jews (and, dang, here I thought it the UN that did that back in 1948). That is all you need to know.

And, that one thing is really all I needed to hear you say.

Perhaps your right about the zionists. Im truly not sure. As for the UN creating israel, that is troubling. But god also lets things happen in the natural. I don't want to go to israel. Also dont consider this as an attack on you. Im just looking to find out the truth.

Yes I do.

Are you familiar with this verse?

Mark 13:32 - But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.

Do you think God needs Pat Robertson and and others like him to fulfill His prophecy? They seem very eager to hurry the end times along. Doesn't that seem rather presumptuous?

And why is it that the Rev. Falwell and Robertson have not spoken out against the crimes against humanity being committed in Iraq? And against the Palestinians? Isn't that what all good ministers of the Gospel should be doing? A voice for the helpless? Instead, they are as hawkish as possible, Bibles in hand, promoting warfare against innocent civilians living in their own homeland!

Do you think that by calling it "liberation" and "spreading democracy" that, suddenly, that makes killing women and children, in their own country, okay?

Yes of course. Israel has existed since 1948, that's old news. I already told you I believe Israel has a right to exist.

There is other land, outside Israel, that should belong to the Palestinians. They are living there now, but under Israel's unkind thumb.

That the Palestinians do not have a homeland is a cause of great concern in the Arab world.

In 1967, Israelis moved into Gaza. They just left last month. It was not part of the Balfour deal.

BTW, have you read anything on USS Liberty?

On June 8, 1967 while patrolling in international waters[2] in the Eastern Mediterranean Sea, USS Liberty (AGTR-5) was savagely attacked without warning or justification by air and naval forces of the state of Israel.[3]

Of a crew of 294 officers and men[4] (including three civilians)[5], the ship suffered thirty four (34) killed in action and one hundred seventy three (173) wounded in action.[6] The ship itself, a Forty Million ($40,000,000) Dollar state of the art signals intelligence (SIGINT) platform, was so badly damaged that it never sailed on an operational mission again and was sold in 1970 for $101,666.66 as scrap[7] .

Israel acknowledged the following facts without qualification:

a. USS Liberty was an American ship, hence a neutral vis-à-vis the June 1967 war between Israel and its Arab neighbors.[8]b. USS Liberty remained in international waters at all times on June 8, 1967[9] .c. The attacking Israeli forces never made a positive identification of the nationality of USS Liberty before unleashing deadly force in their attack on the ship.[10]

Me too. I voted for Nero Bush in 2000. Was working hard to convince others of the same. Vote Republican and everything will be okay! Today I am working just as hard to convince people to see things as freedom v tyranny. By any measuring stick you want to use, Republicans have had the House and Senate now for 11 years and the White House for almost 5; to rephrase President Reagan, are you any more free today than you were 4 years ago, 10 years ago? I can't think of a single facet of my life that isn't based upon fees, taxes or regulations. Breathing, perhaps. Thought.... well, Congress is quickly working on that one.

Notice the date of the attack? Here's one explanation by Eric S. Margolis.

The attack on 'Liberty' was fading into obscurity until last week, when intelligence expert James Bamford came out with Body of Secrets, his latest book about the National Security Agency. In a stunning revelation, Bamford writes that unknown to Israel, a US Navy EC-121 intelligence aircraft was flying high overhead the 'Liberty,' electronically recorded the attack. The US aircraft crew provides evidence that the Israeli pilots knew full well that they were attacking a US Navy ship flying the American flag.

Why did Israel try to sink a naval vessel of its benefactor and ally? Most likely because 'Liberty's' intercepts flatly contradicted Israel's claim, made at the war's beginning on 5 June, that Egypt had attacked Israel, and that Israel's massive air assault on three Arab nations was in retaliation. In fact, Israel began the war by a devastating, Pearl-Harbor style surprise attack that caught the Arabs in bed and destroyed their entire air forces.

Israel was also preparing to attack Syria to seize its strategic Golan Heights. Washington warned Israel not to invade Syria, which had remained inactive while Israel fought Egypt. Bamford says Israel's offensive against Syria was abruptly postponed when 'Liberty' appeared off Sinai, then launched once it was knocked out of action. Israel's claim that Syria had attacked it could have been disproved by 'Liberty.'

Most significant, 'Liberty's' intercepts may have shown that Israel seized upon sharply rising Arab-Israeli tensions in May-June 1967 to launch a long-planned war to invade and annex the West Bank, Jerusalem, Golan and Sinai.
