But as for confiscating the vehicles of those driving without insurance, having had a car totaled earlier this year by an uninsured motorist, I say get all those worthless lice off the road.
I understand wanting motorists to be financially responsible for damage they cause. But industry studies have shown that compulsory auto insurance actually raises rates for everyone. motorists.org has a lot of info on the topic.

There's an old saying regarding "lies, damned lies, and statistics".
Having produced numerous research papers over the years (and reviewed thousands), I know from experience how numbers can be fudged to produce results desired by the funding source.
That being said, anyone who acts an apologist or a safe harbor for irresponsible human behavior is wrong.
I'd argue that demanding govt meddling into every aspect of our lives, such as car insurance, is unnecessarry, bad, & the epitome of statism.People can handle their financial liability issues without govt,& have for eons! That is true responsibility
So lets say someone cant afford car ins.Govt then suspends their "registration"(a bullshit concept to begin with) which they already PAID, then the pigs can steal their auto. Now, the person cant even drive to work to eat.Its very corrupt & wrong minded.
yea, that people take advantage is separate from the issue of govt compulsion.which is even worse, imo. Many people think bad about lawsuits but i dont. Many times, that is the only remedy for immoral acts of defendants.Court is a legit &proper role of govt.
