Who Are The Illuminati?

Richard Stone

"A loose affiliation of millionaires and billionaires" (Paul Simon).

"The world is governed by far different personages from what is imagined by those who are not behind the scenes" (Benjamin Disraeli).

"Give me control over a nation's currency, and I care not who makes the laws" (Mayer Rothschild).

Conspiracy theory is the theory that most of the world is secretly governed by a small group of men who operate behind the scenes. Conspiracy theory is now an accepted turn of phrase but sometimes one hears the expression, sometimes whispered rather than spoken. "The Illuminati".

What does this mean? Who are the Illuminati? They are, in essence, a cartel of international bankers and industrialists based in Western Europe and North America.

The names of certain families persist over long periods of time. Some of the most important names are Rothschild, Rockefeller, Morgan, Lazard, Warburg, Schroder and Schiff.

The pivotal family is probably the house of Rothschild, the descendants of Mayer Rothschild (1743 - 1812) of Frankfurt. The male descendants of this family, for at least two generations, generally married first cousins or even nieces. The family established banking institutions in Vienna, London, Naples and Paris as well as Frankfurt. Ever since the middle ages, these families have been building their power by lending money at rates of interest to the monarchies and governments of Europe who were forever in debt, particularly in times of war. Sooner than tax the population to raise funds, always an unpopular measure, they usually preferred to borrow money from the money-lenders. This was the birth of the concept "the national debt." The countries of the world are forever in debt but where there is a debtor there is a creditor - who is this money owed to? It is owed to this coterie of international bankers.

By the nineteenth century the power of the Rothschild family was immense. They increased their wealth with great cunning and cleverness, while maintaining a low public profile. A notable example of their methods was their exploitation of the battle of Waterloo. The Rothschilds had spies watching the course of the battle and as soon as became evident that Wellington had won, a Rothschild agent traveled at maximum speed to London, arriving hours before Wellington's own messenger. Rothschild received the messenger and began conspicuously selling his stocks. The whole stock exchange assumed that Wellington had lost and Napoleon had won so everybody started selling, at this point, other Rothschild agents bought up huge stocks at give-away prices. Thus an already massive fortune was massively increased.

The Rockefeller family may be equally important. The pivotal figure in this family was J.D.Rockefeller, who made his fortune out of Standard Oil or Esso in Ohio and Pennsylvania. He also controlled the railroads. When rival road transport systems were established he attempted to block them by parking his trains across the roads at level crossings. His basic business technique was the elimination of competitors at all costs, followed by the establishment of a monopoly, followed by profit taking. He rapidly gained a name for huge wealth, secrecy and hard and dirty business practice. In his later years he had a harsh and gaunt appearance, so to counter his bad "public image" JD more or less invented the PR industry. He had short films of himself made, calculated to charm the public, himself playing golf with a pretty little child for instance. This film was shown on TV recently. It has a rather false and amateurish air but was very effective with the public of the day.

The Rockerfellers currently have controlling interests in Exxon (the world's biggest company) and the Chase Manhattan Bank, which turns over trillions of dollars a week. With so many billions in their hands already, what does more money mean? Obviously it means more power and more control over other human beings, but to what end and in whose name?

Apparently in the name of Lucifer, the fallen angel also known as the bringer of light, hence the name "Illuminati", which means "the enlightened ones". Lucifer is also known for the characteristics of pride, deception and impermanence. The illuminati were apparently founded in Bavaria in 1770 by one Adam Weisshaupt, a student of the Jewish philosopher Mendelsohn, and backed by the Rothschild family. The society has always been based on the lodges of Freemasonry, which was taken over at the highest levels during the course of the eighteenth century by agents of the Illuminati. Freemasonry is a very secretive institution, to the extent that members at one level do not know what members at another level are doing. Hence it is an organisation which is full of bonhomie and good deeds at the lower and middle levels, while its motives and deeds at the highest levels veer towards the dark side. Both Freemasonry and Judaism have strong roots in the ancient Egyptian systems of religious belief, and it was this very similarity which attracted the illuminati to Freemasonry, for most of them were Jewish.

It is a source of controversy today to speculate whether or not they are still predominantly Jewish. No unfair racism intended - they either are or they aren't.

Certainly there is much evidence to suggest that they are not, George Bush for instance, a prominent illuminati figure and obviously not Jewish.

The all seeing eye on the U.S. Dollar Bill

The United States of America is more or less a creation of Freemasonry. The symbol of Freemasonry was placed on the cornerstone of the Whitehouse, while the assembled Freemasons lodges stood and watched the ceremony. The famous all-seeing eye in the pyramid appears on the one dollar bill. It is one of the main symbols of Freemasonry.

This bill also bears the inscription, in Latin, "1776, the year of inception of a new world order". If one joins the dots formed by the stars of the thirteen original states one obtains an exact Star of David.

The goal of the IlIuminati is total control of the world. The only nations, which are holding out against their power, are some Islamic nations and China but this resistance is limited because the Illuminati have crushing economic power.

There are certain methods of subjugation and control which are indispensable to this power. The first is, of course, complete control over all financial systems, all borrowing and lending. All banks, all building societies, all insurance companies have to be under their control. At the lowest level even the smallest bank will be forced to toe the line. At the highest level the World Bank decides the fate of countries. It is an interesting and amazing fact that both the Federal Reserve Bank and the Bank of England are controlled by these Illuminati dynasties, in spite of the names of these banks, which suggest that they are run for public benefit. It is said that both Abraham Lincoln and John Kennedy wanted to change this system.

The second essential component is control of the media. It is controlled through business fashion. If the board meeting, or the management meeting, or the sales meeting, or the training meeting suggests that facts should be presented in a certain way, who is going to present them differently? There is an implied threat to one's job and one's career. Few people would gladly face demotion, retrenchment or the dole and most people are so ambitious they will do nearly anything "reasonable" to court favour with their superiors. This is how business is controlled and the media is the most important part of business, for it controls people's minds. People are very suggestible and often lend more credence to what they see on "the box" than to what happens on their own street. The Illuminati know this and use this suggestibility factor to the full. Lenin's key move during the Russian revolution was the capture of the radio station.

The third factor in the control system is the universities, and through them the whole education system. Particular effort is put into the schools of sociology, politics, economics and education, hence "liberal" systems of education which are often degenerate and even violent. Their men are inserted into the universities through the power of funding by big business. They then spread their influence downwards through tertiary to secondary and primary education.

The fourth factor is the enormous influence wielded by two similar organisations, The Council of Foreign Relations in the USA and the Royal Institute of International Affairs in England. These institutions are schools for statesmen, Illuminati statesmen. They are the stamping grounds of men such as Henry Kissinger, Zbigniew Brzezinksi and Lord Carrington. These two "think tanks" have a crucial influence on all US and British governments, no matter which party is "in power". The statesmen produced by these institutions can and do decide the fate of nations. The tax-exempt foundations are also instruments of Illuminati power.

The Ford foundation and the Rockefeller foundation are two prominent examples of this type of "charitable" institution. They were heavily involved in supporting various communist powers when the cold war was at its height. Communism versus capitalism arms race = more money and power for the Illuminati. So these are some of the structures through which the Illuminati work but what methods do they use?

Pitting one side against the other, using a theory devised by Hegel, which is: Thesis versus antitheses - synthesis.

Every force tends to have an opposite counterforce. The conflict between the two results in a new situation, the synthesis.

The illuminati make it their business to be the synthesis. Thus no problem situation is ever "nipped in the bud" it is rather fostered and used, just as the Soviet Union was fostered and used.

The insertion of immigrant groups into countries is a variation of this divide and rule process. Each group can be played off against the other.

"Double talk" and "double think". George Orwell knew instinctively what was going on when he invented these two expressions:

I categorically deny = it will happen a bit later.

Peace = war by another means.

To say one thing and do another is fundamental to Illuminati practice. They believe that the public will accept these lies through laziness and wishful thinking.

Unfortunately they are usually correct.

"Keep them busy busy busy, back on the farm with the other animals." We are kept so busy with business (or busyness) that we do not understand or participate in the decisions and events that will crucially affect our future.

When a real power move is made it is usually done secretly and suddenly often with the pretence that nothing has happened. There is preparation for opposition, but conflict is often not necessary as most people have been trained to be so passive that they will probably not create an effective opposition.

Use of front men in important positions.

These front men have the characteristic of "servile obedience", probably because of a blot or blots on their character which they are anxious to conceal. Most of the Presidents of the USA fall into this category. The current situation springs to mind. Behind the opponent stands the man with real power, who has long been groomed for this position. Men like Henry Kissinger, Zbigniew Brzezinski and George Bush are in this category.

The assassination of opposing leaders as quietly and as secretly as possible, so as to simulate a natural death. If this is not possible due to time constraints or other limited circumstances, surrogates are used and the lines of suspicion are covered by deception, false accusation and if necessary, multiple assassinations. Induced heart attacks, fake motor accidents and apparent suicides are also favoured methods of assassination.

Social engineering. An easily manipulated rabble is what is required. Mixed population groups with weak morals, weak traditions, low educational standards and weak group willpower are the aim. Those with special aptitudes can be taken out and trained to serve the illuminati for technical purposes, security purposes or as part of the propaganda apparatus. The middle class will become surplus to requirements and will be reduced to relative poverty. Mockery and submission of the manners and morals of societies which show any resistance. Control of the media, the fashion industries and the education systems are essential components in this strategy.

"Free love", the cult of youth, mockery of the Christian and Muslim faiths also fall into this category. "I don't give a rats ass about Jesus Christ" is one recent masterpiece from one of Hollywood's biggest starts. He probably didn't realise what he was saying, which makes him a "useful idiot'. A "useful idiot" is much more effective than a conscious supporter. By these means of subversion societies and nations are conquered from within and open battle is usually not necessary.

The conduct of unrelenting economic warfare. This is the real war and continues even while the bombs are falling and the bullets are flying. The important part is the control of the enemy's economy after the conflict. The recent economic crash in the far-eastern countries is in reality an assertion of the Illuminati's economic power, an expression of economic dominance.

The Illuminati now control 10-15% of the Japanese economy. This is public knowledge, that is what has been bought at bargain prices. In reality they probably control much more.

Control and exploitation of the standards of public health. The sale of prescription drugs is a huge business generating mega profits. Medical operations and treatments can also be very profitable to big business. These extreme treatments have their place but are over-used for the sake of profit.

In fact big business, particularly the big drug companies, have a vested interest in the ill health of the population. These companies, working through the US Food and Drug Administration, have tried to suppress the health food industry. In this they have largely failed but now the game is to own it and control it so that health foods can only be afforded by the elite.

Argument through defamation of character.

The factual debate is ignored while characters are defamed. This is usually a very effective technique as many human beings are very suggestible and seem reluctant to use their reasoning abilities.

Thus a "smear campaign" can easily draw attention away from the facts.

To conclude, it is growing increasingly evident that a world government is developing, and many would say that it is probably no bad thing, but few have asked for what purpose this "new world order" is created. Nor have they asked themselves what the consequences will be. These consequences (or some of them) will probably be as follows:

• Increasing profits for big business, increasing poverty for the middle class (who they despise). A rapid decline in moral standards and the promotion of social decay.

• Transience. Jobs that don't last; neighbourhoods that don't last.

• Increasing levels of crime and violence.

• Decline and demise of public services; replacement by private enterprise - good service for the few who can afford it.

• Ongoing ill health for the bulk of the population because of stress; poor quality foods; food additives; genetic engineering; pollution and drugs. There may be good health for those who can afford it - only the rich and well informed.

• The gradual phasing out of national governments, which will have powers more like the regional governments of today.

• The formation of several conglomerations like the United States.

In time a world leader will be announced, a real one this time. A pity he will have a cynical contempt for the most of humanity.

Do we deserve it?

This is a huge pet peeve of mine. I often here people say.... "we deserve it" This ignores a lot of factors and only focuses on the failing of the sheep to be more active politically. Come on...... rigged elections, mass brainwashing via MSM, drugs introduced into the food/water supply by the other factor - paid shills, like minded people and trolls)

When one party is more cunning than another party, it is known as "taking advantage"...not - the lesser "deserves" it. Being in a position enabling you to take advantage of others does not disavow ones wrong doing.

"Those who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities." - Voltaire

Good point, I think you are pretty correct. Just because you are in the dark does not make you responsible for the activities commited in your name. Madison Avenue and the Pentagon and the MSM are powerfull weapons that the citizens have not been prepared to deal with. It's a go it alone experience, save for sites like http://4um.com, and a few others. There's plenty of blame to spread around, not all of it has to fall upon the hapless citizens.

"A loose affiliation of millionaires and billionaires" (Paul Simon).

I wonder if Bill Gates and Michael Dell have gotten their 'secret' invites?

And, following in the same vein, what about those 'millionaires' that lost it, during stock market crashes, or doing 'bad investments' and the like?

Do they have to resign from 'the club'?

Have any of these former members come forward and given full-length interviews; spilled the beans so speak?

MICROSOFT AND THE BAVARIAN ILLUMINATI

[A Big Brother "Howdy" to all my friends who surfed here from http://theforbiddenknowledge.com. Just so you know, They're watching me, so now They're watching you, too. Cheers and enjoy the rest of the page!]

"The chessboard is the world, the pieces are the phenomena of the universe, the rules of the game are the laws of nature. The player on the other side is hidden from us." -- Thomas Henry Huxley

"In every grain of wheat there lies hidden the soul of a star." -- Arthur Machen

"The Old Ones were, the Old Ones are and the Old Ones will be... not in the spaces we know of, but between them ... Yog-Sothoth is the Gate." -- Abd al- Hazred, Al Azif

"All perception is inferential; all inference uncertain; all theory, a combination of perception and inference, is therefore educated guessing." -- de Selby, Golden Hours, I, 93 These days most people have heard of Microsoft Corporation, and its founder Bill Gates. The majority of computers in use today use Microsoft system software, and those that do not often run applications from Microsoft. However, few people know the true story behind the rise of Microsoft and even fewer suspect the terrible cosmic secrets that are concealed beneath the facade of a successful software company.

In the Object Linking and Embedding 2.0 Programmer's Reference there is a very curious term. On page 78, the second paragraph starts with the sentence

In the aggregation model, this internal communication is achieved through coordination with a special instance of IUnknown interface known as the controlling unknown of the aggregate. The term controlling unknown is a very interesting choice of words. It is not the most intuitively obvious term for what it is describing (a base class used for implementing an object-oriented data exchange/embedding system). A term strikingly similar to controlling unknown was the term unknown superiors, used by many occult secret societies. These included the Strict Observance Masonic lodge, whose members were sometimes referred to as illuminati, and which had some connection with Adam Weishaupt's order. Unknown superiors is a term that refers to non-corporeal or superhuman agencies in command of secret societies or mystery cults. Such an agency is frequently known as the inner head of an order of organisation, as opposed to the outer head, who is human.

Organisations that claimed or were claimed to be commanded by such unknown superiors include the Ordo Templi Orientis of Aleister Crowley and the Knights Templar, whose Inner Head was apparently a being named Baphomet.

Apart from the term controlling unknown, another hint at the secrets behind Microsoft is the fact that Microsoft Windows has a limit of five window device contexts. Five is a decidedly odd number for such an application, being neither a power of two nor one less than a power of two, but let us not forget Adam Weishaupt's discovery of the Law of Fives in the Necronomicon [1].

Few people for sure how many buildings there are on the Microsoft campus in Redmond, WA. No maps of the entire facility are known to exist. Some Microsoft employees put the estimate at six or three. An article in an Australian newspaper has claimed that there are 22 buildings. That is partly true; however, there is another building, hidden from the public and even from most Microsoft employees. The twenty-third building, or Building 7, is pentagonal in shape; its exact location is known only to five people (of whom Bill Gates may be one); however, it is believed that the building is accessible from elsewhere in the Microsoft campus by a secret passage.

What is in the five sided building is not known. However, it is believed that the contents of Building 7 are of a supernatural nature. Apart from the Pentagon, there was a similar five-sided building in Nazi Germany. This has been carefully kept hidden from the public. One hypothesis is that Building 7 is inhabited by, or used to communicate with, the Inner Head, or controlling unknown. The identity of the Outer Head is unknown. Bill Gates may be the Outer Head, a high initiate of the conspiracy or just a figurehead whose purpose it is to divert attention.

To fully understand this history, or whatever of it may be understood by human minds, one must have some knowledge of the history and origins of the Illuminati. Little is known about the Illuminati, but what is known is that the Illuminati can be definitely traced back to 1776.

On Walpurgis night 1776, five men met in a cavern deep beneath Ingolstadt, Bavaria. There they invoked some sort of supernatural beings and made contact with the Unknown Superiors. The following day, one of these five men proclaimed the foundation of the Ancient Illuminated Seers of Bavaria, using the name "Adam Weishaupt", which means "the first man to know the Superiors".

Although the Illuminati were officially disbanded in 1785, they did not disappear; throughout the past 200 years, they have been observing the profane world carefully, and occasionally intervening [2]. Their contacts with the Unknown Superiors continued in specially constructed buildings, originally in Germany but later in Washington. During the 1920s and 1930s there occurred a potential problem; a young writer named Howard Phillips Lovecraft published many stories which contained allegories to Illuminated history (for example, Joseph Curwen's invocation of Yogge-Sothothe in an underground complex in the 18th century). It is believed that Lovecraft's father was a Grand Orient Freemason. The Illuminati, however, persuaded Lovecraft to join their cause and faked his death in 1937 [3]. Another incident occurred on October 21, 1967, when occultists attempted to "raise" the Pentagon; they were given permission to approach it but prevented from completely encircling it. However, in 1975, a crisis developed that threatened the very foundation of the Illuminati.

A book, claiming to be a fantasy novel, appeared. This book was mostly fiction; however, it hinted at the secrets of the Illuminati (even going as far as using Lovecraft's term Yog-Sothoth for the Unknown Superior). To this day it is not known whether the authors were renegade Illuminati or whether the information was acquired from informers within the organisation. The book was called lluminatus!

Immediately, the Illuminati convened an emergency meeting in Cesme, Turkey. There they discussed a contingency plan to restructure the organisation and to move the Pentacle of Invocation to a new location. They decided on setting up a small computer company in one of the smaller cities of the United States as a front. That year, Microsoft Corporation was founded.

But why did the Illuminati select a software company and not, say, a company that manages investments or makes kitchen appliances? The answer lies in symbolism [4] . There is a recurring legend about a device in the form of a human head which could answer yes/no questions [5] . This device is extremely suggestive of a computer of some sort, and if it did exist in anything more than hermetic allegory, it could not have been manufactured by any human civilisation of the time whose existence is known. Hence, the Illuminati decided to use a computer company as a front.

It has been already speculated that the name of the founder, Bill Gates, is a code much as "Adam Weishaupt" was a code. Apart from being the name of a magician in Aleister Crowley's novel, Moonchild, Gates is a reference to the Unknown Superior and the gateway between ordinary reality and the Invisible World; Lovecraft himself referred to Yog-Sothoth as "the Gateless Gate". By the same token, IBM can be said to stand not for "International Business Machines" but rather for "Iacobus Burgundus Molensis", or Jacques de Molay, the last overt Grand Master of the Knights Templar, whose name was borrowed by the Bavarian Illuminati for one of their ciphers. One must also not forget that a Microsoft network administration tool currently under development is named Hermes, after the god of alchemy, and that a line in Umberto Eco's novel, Foucault's Pendulum reads, quite clearly, "Microsoft-Hermes".

UN-authorised CAPITALISATION and DISSOCIATION of this IMPORTANT INFORMATION is ENCOURAGED.

[1] Some sources claim that the copy of the Necronomicon which Adam Weishaupt owned was the von Junzt German translation; this, however, is unlikely, as von Junzt lived in the nineteenth century. The Necronomicon involved was probably either Olaus Wormius' Latin edition or the original Arabic, as the details of the illustrations would attest.

[2] As they did in Sarajevo in 1914, St. Petersburg in 1917, Manhattan in 1929 (to divert attention from a rather unpleasant affair off the coast of New England) and Dallas in 1963.

[3] Have you ever wondered why his grave is not marked?

[4]Perhaps because of their invlovement in mystick arts such as the Cabala, the Illuminati have always had an affinity for symbolism.

[5] Some link this device to the Knights Templar and their god Baphomet; others claim that Pope Sylvester, who lived in the tenth century, brought such an object back from India, where he met the "Nine Unknown Men."

In article <21uo6g$mao@senator-bedfellow.MIT.EDU> buehler@sybil.mit.edu (Royce Buehler) writes: > >The code in "Gates" is made amply clear. But what is encoded in "Bill"?

The North American lodge of the Bavarian Illuminati is (logically enough) known as the "Bavarian Illuminati." (The name of the Bavarian lodge is obviously not in English, it's the "Alten Erleuchteten Seher Bayerns, " e.g., the Ancient Illuminated Seers of Bavaria.) The German-style abbreviation of "Bavarian Illuminati" is the B. Ill. or simply BIll. Members of the American lodge frequently identified themselves in secret communications by using the name Bill.

(But the official designation for the American Lodge is the "Secret American Daughter-organization of the Illuminated Seers," that is, the "Geheime Amerikanische Tochtergenossenschaft der Erleuchteten Seher," or GATES.)

>Is it nothing more than a reminder of the Cthulhoid motto "Novus Ordo >Saeclorum" on the United States dollar bill? Does it refer to secret

The numerical value of Bill in Hebrew AND Greek is 72, which is the number of divisions in the Illuminati pyramid. Gates (in Hebrew) is 78, which is 13x6. Thus "Bill Gates" is a description of the pyramid, 72 divisions, 13 levels, and 6 sides (including the flat top where the eye in the triangle sits).

And finally, of course, Bill is an anagram of Lilb; I think I hardly have to comment on the significance of this...

Here's Cecil Adams' take on them:

...Coincidentally--although some would say it's no coincidence--May 1 is also the date that a secret society called the Illuminati was founded in 1776 by a Bavarian university professor named Adam Weishaupt. Although the group's precise aims are a little murky, the Illuminati were apparently dedicated to the abolition of organized religion and the nation-state--in short, they were anarchists. Such ideas were not uncommon at the time; Enlightenment thinkers like Rousseau had vaguely similar notions.

By and by it occurred to Weishaupt that he could multiply his influence by infiltrating existing lodges of Masons. The Masons, themselves a secret society, seem to have originated in England, and by Weishaupt's time were well established throughout Europe. Although they were decentralized and had no overriding political program, the Masons had attracted a fair number of freethinkers, who to some extent took advantage of the group's clandestine character to discuss Enlightenment ideas. Masons were suspected of being anticlerical, and had been condemned on several occasions by the Catholic Church.

Weishaupt's minions succeeded in gaining influential positions in many Masonic lodges in Germany, Austria, and elsewhere. Characteristically, though, only the top leaders of the Illuminati knew the full extent of the group's radical plans. Weishaupt, who claimed to have been inspired partly by the Jesuits, set up an elaborate hierarchy complete with secret signs, ceremonies, and codes in which members were gradually given additional knowledge as they rose in rank.

Eventually, though, some of the Illuminati quarreled, and disgruntled ex-members went to the authorities with lurid stories. In 1785, the alarmed Elector of Bavaria ordered both the Illuminati and the Masons suppressed. Numerous incriminating papers were confiscated and later published throughout Europe, creating a widespread panic that secret societies were plotting the violent overthrow of all civilization. This probably would have died down eventually, except for one thing: on July 14, 1789, the Bastille fell to a Paris mob, and the French Revolution began.

We now take leave of Reality, and enter the twilight world of Total Paranoia. Not much is known about what happened to the Illuminati after 1785. Some of them went underground, and several may have been involved in various plots over the following few years. Whatever the truth of the matter, rightists began churning out an immense volume of books and pamphlets blaming the Illuminati for . . . well, just about everything.

The most famous of these was a five-volume worked published in 1797-99 by Augustin de Barruel, a French cleric. A synthesis of nearly every plot theory that had appeared up to that time, Barruel's book traced the alleged conspiracy from the Manichean heresy of the third century AD down through the Knights Templars in the Middle Ages and finally to the Masons and the Illuminati, who (he said) were ultimately successful in fomenting the French Revolution.

Barruel's book was the foundation of a vast legend about the Illuminati and their allies, lackeys, and dupes that has continued, with considerable elaboration, down to the present day. Well into the 20th century Barruel was still being quoted by other conspiracy writers.

What is striking, though, is not just the longevity of the theory, but the extent to which it was wholeheartedly believed. Even so prominent a figure as the English statesman Disraeli accepted unquestioningly the notion that secret societies were behind everything.

Perhaps the most prominent of the conspiracy theorists writing in English was Nesta Webster. Her books, such as World Revolution: The Plot Against Civilization and Secret Societies and Subversive Movements, were immensely popular--the latter, first published in 1924, went into an eighth edition in 1964.

It is difficult in a short space to do justice to the all-encompassing grandeur of Ms. Webster's version of the Theory, but basically she felt that all the revolutionary events of 1789 through 1917 were the work of "illuminized freemasons," many of them German, who were allied with a group of apostate Jews who, among other things, controlled international finance. Lenin, she wrote, was "the agent of the great German-Jewish company that hopes to rule the world." Zionism and the efforts to liberate Ireland were also part of the plot.

Finally, she noted in World Revolution, "Was it again a mere coincidence that in July 1889 an International Socialist Congress in Paris decided that May 1, which was the day on which Weishaupt founded the Illuminati [her italics], should be chosen for an annual International Labour demonstration . . . ?"

And so it goes. You hear less about the Illuminati today, probably because the whole thing is so cornball, and let's face it, after 200 years even the best conspiracy theory starts to get a little old. I note here in my copy of None Dare Call It Conspiracy (1972), a crackpot classic that pins the one-world plot on the Council on Foreign Relations, that the Illuminati rate only a couple paragraphs.

The tendency of late seems to be to play the whole Illuminati business for laughs. Several years ago a couple wise guys named Robert Shea (a onetime Playboy editor) and Robert Anton Wilson wrote an off-the-wall conspiracy satire called Illuminatus!, which among other things disclosed that the Illuminati had reached the New York Times.

Now and then, Shea claimed, the word "fnord" will pop up in a news story. You can't consciously see it, he says, "but it's placed throughout the paper, and you notice it only subconsciously. Every time you see a "fnord' you feel fear, so that by the time you have finished reading the paper you're in a state of chronic, low-grade emergency paranoia. Keeping people in that state is one of the main things the Illuminati do."

So much for the comic relief. What influence, if any, the Illuminati really had on the French Revolution or anything else is impossible to say, naturally, but you could make the case that some features of Illuminati organization, notably the use of front groups and the concept of a revolutionary elite, were an inspiration to later radicals. Undoubtedly their chief impact, however, was the climate of paranoia they engendered. For a fuller discussion of the whole business, see The Mythology of the Secret Societies, by J.M. Roberts (1972).

Few people for sure how many buildings there are on the Microsoft campus in Redmond, WA. No maps of the entire facility are known to exist.

A) This is an incomplete sentence.

B) Have you checked Terraserver for images of the campus?

Or any other space-based, earth mapping and imaging system for that matter?

IMO this is a fictious diversion..

"Illuminati" is just a word, and 500 geeks on TV using any word is going to have mor eeffect on the average goomer than some obscure band singing about it...

That's why I keep insisting we only refer to people as "shits" or "johnsons", it's pretty hard to spin words like that.

They get people agreeing that the Illuminati are evil then the pull the rug out and say a-ha they don't exist. We used to do the same thing at the haunted house ride at the carnival.

I often here people say.... "we deserve it"

We have the capacity to hope for the best under even the worst circumstances and evil people are willing to take advantage of that.

On a micro scale level, you see that when a victim allows an assailant to take control or kidnap them. On the macro level you see it when large groups are herded up for extermination.

Generally, you won't find people willing to risk the status quo for something better even if the status quo is "hopeless shithole existence". It's a conundrum. Your average American won't raise a finger as long as the TV and Budweiser are flowing. A lot of us [here on this and other similar boards] are definitely more prepared for bad stuff, but the question has to be asked "At what point does "bad stuff" reach an intolerable level?

Remember the Churchill quote about fighting in the present before the odds were worse, down the line to where you have to fight even when you know you will lose because the alternative existence is worse? Where do people draw that line? People have done a pretty crappy job at elucidating the point to draw that line through about 3 or 4 thousand years of history and they still haven't gotten close to it. Maybe they don't deserve it, but they sure act like the "willing cattle" that they've inadvertently agreed to becoming.

The Founders seemed to have an idea of how to avoid that line, but it was ever so slowly eradicated by taking advantage of the very compassion and concern for fellow man that most individuals have always seemed to possess here. The bankers jumped on that like flys to crap, first for other nations we shared familial ties with, and then to our own people with creeping socialism.

At some point, people will eventually have to draw the line here. Do you have to wait until the house is paid off? You have a place in the country? 6 months of food rather than 3? Technologically and legislatively and generationally, we're rapidly reaching a point where people who love the country and the founding principles will be either irrelevant because they've been highly outnumbered, or it will be impossible to resist for all but the most ingeniously cunning and "off the grid and information system" types (and those people will, at that point, be just surviving, not making any changes or helping anyone else gain freedom).

Several questions have run through my mind when I try to scry out the future based upon human nature and progress. How many (if a finite number even, i.e. will it ever happen?) Waco's or Ruby Ridges or next door neighbor no-knock shootings need to occur before ones fellow citizens show up armed to shut down the show?

How far can the FEDs turn up the screws of taxation on us before we just decide that going to work for the big house and 2 cars just isn't worth grinding our life away?

How many more things do people "just need to have" to the point that their willing to let others basically put an economic life support monitor on their every actions?

I'm currently not very optimistic. We're up against an opposition that merely offers the repeatedly broken promise of safety and security, and we get thrashed repeatedly.

I do see one ray of hope in that the quadrennial Push-me Pull-you party system showed its hand these last cycles and that there may be a whole hell of a lot more Libertarian and Constitution party voters. Just the other night me and the wife were talking and came to the simultaneous conclusion that we aren't playing the R or D shit any more. They both suck balls. Better to start from the ground up locally and start eroding the entrenched POS's out from there, while supporting the natioonal 3rd's with votes that might get them into the matching funds league.

I know that day will be way too late for those of us in the know.

Imagine when The average Joe six pack (I.Q.~100) finally breaks free of the "matrix" (MSM programming and the drugging of our population) due to grievous acts so barbaric even they wake up. We will be way way way beyond the point of winning the war necessary to revive our liberties and freedoms.

We are fucked my friend, you know it and I know it.
