Not being a rappeller or sky-diver myself, can't make an educated opinion on that question. What Ricky J says "We know that the fires were not that hot due to a woman in the North Tower waving while leaning on a steel beam looking out the hole created by the plane's impact with the building. If the fires were so hot she would not have even been there, much less touching supposedly red hot steal that was about to melt. My guess is it's unlikely he could have gained that horizontal distance without being shot from a giant slingshot, but anyway it appears as though at least some of the pictures of falling people may have been faked. 9/11 was absolutely a massive theatrical cinematic psy-op. I agree with your reasoning of controlled demolition. Personally, all I need is to watch any of the "collapse"/disintegration videos to be convinced of what obviously happened.
