OMG! My family and friends have had several great boat trips down this ( I cant spell canoue). I think I saw an official map that put Austin, or close, to a D-5 drought category. A Severe Drought? That is tough in so many many ways. Well Colorado Springs didn't get as bad as you, but our D just broke five days or so ago. I hope this wet weather gets to you soon. Is anyone swimming in the Lake there, L. Austin?? Might not be a good idea.
Lake Austin seems to be fine as far as I know. Of course Lake Travis is way, way down. I haven't heard the latest number, but probably 40+ feet. Ranchers are having to sell starving cattle it's that bad.
Town Lake and Inks Lake are constant level lakes. It sucks hard for the rest of the Highland Lakes. We are in a mega-mega-drought here. Get nekkid in the back yard with your rain dance, TONIGHT! Thanks much.
We had some rain today. It's been cool and wet. The green is the long grass is half gone, but the all lakes here are at normal level. I hope you all get some rain soon down there.
