About 5 pm PST, The Desert Freedom Press learned that under the current "emergency", Police Chief Jeff Gilbert has suspended ALL officers who filed criminal and ethical complaints against him. This leaves only the four officers who chose to stand with the Chief, despite the controversy and ongoing investigation by DPS. The same officers seen in the "Jennifer Jones arrest" video below. La Paz County Sheriff Don Lowery told the Parker Pioneer Newspaper last week that he had provided back up units to patrol the perimeter of Town Hall during the June 12th council meeting. Quartzsite Police Chief Jeff Gilbert and Sheriff Lowery served together as officers on the Colorado Indian Tribes Reservation. Several Sheriff's vehicles have been seen in the town over the last hour.

Reportedly, the officers are on "house arrest" from 8 am - noon, and 1 pm - 5 pm and have been instructed not to speak with media...(but their families can.)

It is getting almost funny with the obvious overreactions. This pig chief is busy trying to keep the lid on and avoid hard time and I don't think he is going to get away with it. Given the back up by his Sheriff buddy from the Reservation Police it could unravel quite a bit further. I have heard in the past stories about corrupt Reservation Cops so there could be a lot of string to unwind here.

I suspect somewhere along the line we may learn that the local Police Chief also is one of the heads of the local drug distribution as well.

The desperate overreactions are a screaming red flag.

The Quartzite mayor was elected to flush out city corruption, and he is doing it.

This is a great case for the Constitutional right of Freedom of Speech and Freedom of Assembly.

Quartzite is symbolic of the corruption that runs throughout all Federal and State government in the US today.

I liken the Quartzite city council to Eric Holder and the Chief of Police to Janet Napolitano.

Good analogy. This is in microcosm pretty close to what has happened, is happening, in the Feral Guffermint. The police chief there in Quartzite just doesn't appear to have government paid hit squads - yet.

i read early on that the AZ AG claimed that no one had filed any complaints about quartzsite. Thats a trick govts use. 5000 calls can be made, but unless someone files an actual complaint using proper procedure, they can claim none exist.Ranting is not it

I guess I'm not real clear on why the governor doesn't send in the state police and arrest all the involved parties, get them on the waterboard until they confess their crimes ,and execute them, unless the governor is in on it too.

Indeed. The inhabitants of aren't tanned enough to warrant attention by Fast 'n Furious Holder's Justice Department. Nobody's civil rights are getting nicked here apparently. Residents of this little Western town will just have to suck it up. No use calling in the useless.fedgov.gov.

The State of Arizona has at long last been dragged in kicking and screaming. The AZ DPS is looking into complaints about the Quartzsite Police Department. The Criminal Investigations has opened an investigation this week.

It is a violation of Natural Law to use this document in a manner inconsistent with its labeling.

After this much over reaction I would bet most folks are looking to plan on how to get these over reacting idiots to peacefully give themselves up.

Apparently the police chief and his posse think they can run the whole town into the ground law be damned... and that makes them dangerous ...backed into the corner their in...they may just insist upon a gun fight.

And if they do then I hope they die...but my real concern would lay at the folks they would be shooting at in the name of their own personal glory...

They are running scared. They've been called on their corruption and they are having a cow trying to prevent anyone from turning over any rocks.

It is so screaming obvious that there is massive corruption to be uncovered - their actions alone are telegraphing it.

When you "suspend" 3/4 of the Police Force because they are not going along with the program you know that they feel the "squeeze". Now someone needs to get a pair of Vice Grips - biiiiiiiiiiig Vice Grips.
