Yes, to Firefox. I avoid Google and their NSA back doors at all costs.

While any browser can be exploited Firefox is open source and so it is much harder to install a camouflaged back door without some enterprising geek finding it.

I use firefox and opera. Opera is not open source, but it isn't a bad browser at all. Most of Chrome is open source though, but it still needs a lot of work done to it, some pages will not display correctly in chrome, but have no problem displaying on IE, safari, firefox and opera. With all the browsers out there, including IE, there is no need to mess with Chrome right now.

God is always good!

Last month my XP was much afflicted with an aggressive virus/trojan and I called in a professional Geek for repairs. He didn't cure the virus completely - it still redirects ordinary Google and Bing searches (but not Metacrawler) - but among the improvements he recommended was switching to Chrome because, evidently, it is more resistant to trojans (or at least most trojans are geared to screwing up Internet Explorer).

Chrome has some advantages but among my many whinings are:

(1) Installation of Chrome only imperfectly reproduced my IE8 Favorites, leaving many out, changing the names of most entries (I had included my passwords in the IE8 list, so I would have them right at hand), evidently eliminating repetitions of some websites that I had listed in multiple files.

(2) The Chrome display of favorites is very different and much more cumbersome than IE8, and I wouldn't mind an optional add-on that would give Chrome favorites the look-and-feel of IE8 favorites.

(3) Chrome lacks the Print Preview feature of IE8, which enables changes in size in order to made text more readable or compact. There is a feature that almost - but not quite - enables IE8-like printing but it has its own inconveniences.

(4) The internet commands available with IE8's Tools simply not available yet with Chrome.

Unfortunately, I get the impression that Google is paying more attention to other projects, there doesn't seem to have been much progress in Chrome improvements over the past few years.

That is most likely because Firefox is still the browser of choice by many more people and Chrome, beyond its initial splash, has been unable to carve out a very large niche. So, Google is not throwing excessive amounts of money and resources into a more or less failed project.

And then there is their involvement with NSA/CIA/Mossad. I would never use a Google product because I do not trust them.

Save As .pdf and then print the pdf.

If is possible to change the fonts in Google Chrome?

Yes. Click on the "wrench" icon in the upper right corner > "Options" > "Under the hood" > "Web content" > "customize fonts".

Even the font customizer has a drawback: It asks for the fonts in different categories - serif, san serif, and, most significantly, fixed width - but it shows your range of choices to be ALL of your loaded fonts, instead of winnowing out your collection for the ones appropriate to the category. Example, for fixed- width it shows you a list of all of your fonts, even though you probably have only a mere handful of fonts that are fixed-width.

Phooey on Chrome.

I'm back to the original FF.

We're headed for another 104 day here.

My water bill is going to look like a nice house payment.

I despise IE, and I suppose FF will become my browser of choice since Chrome blows by all accounts.

It's as hot as hell up here too - 100 degrees yesterday, which is unheard of in these mountains. We catch a serious break on water bills too. Mine is rolled into my association fee, but it can't be more than $50 a month. Stay well hydrated, Lod, my man.
