The city Police Department has temporarily shut down its Facebook page due to the nature of the comments posted about a police video involving a traffic stop and a citizen with a concealed weapon permit.
In a video recorded by a dashboard camera in a police car, Patrolman Daniel Harless berates William E. Bartlett, 52, of Brewster, during a June 8 traffic stop at about 1:40 a.m. in the Newton Avenue NW area. The area is known for drug trafficking and prostitution.
Harless’ tirade included repeated foul language and threats after Bartlett indicated he was armed and had a permit to carry a concealed weapon.
In the video, obtained by The Repository through a public records request, Harless threatened to execute Bartlett for being stupid. Police Chief Dean McKimm has described Harless’ behavior as “wholly unacceptable” and in violation of many department rules.
The Police Department’s Internal Affairs office is continuing its investigation of the incident. The officer, who had been on paid administrative leave since June 20, has been on sick leave since Monday.
The video went viral Thursday after being posted on the website of Ohioans for Concealed Carry and YouTube.
“The video and story has gone both viral and national crossing over to websites not typically affiliated with the pro-gun movement,” the OhioCCW website said on Friday. “Shortly after 7:00 p.m. Thursday our website could no longer handle the volume of visitors we were receiving. We promptly quadrupled the resources behind OhioCCW.org in light of the popularity of this story.”
both of those worshipers of the holey doughnut should be terminated, harless for his actions and fat boy for allowing those actions.

it would seem that policy does allow these types of actions by the departments personnel or harless would not have been so comfortable in his actions and fat boy would not have stood idly by watching it happen.
