Let me see if I have this straight.
Barack Obama is threatening to do the following if Republicans don’t approve raising the record debt limit, allowing him to spend trillions more on the backs of Americans not yet born:
Why?
He’ll do this not because there isn’t money to make all of these payments in the treasury, but because he wants to blackmail and bully Republicans and ordinary Americans who have made themselves dependent on government and to keep borrowing so he can do all of the following:
In other words, Obama threatens to use his power in a premeditated way to harm the country if he doesn’t get his way.
Make your voice heard by participating in the "No More Red Ink" campaign before it's too late.
And what do the Republicans who were elected last year for the express purpose of holding Obama in check do about it?

No, they bargain.
They negotiate.
They try to make deals.
They compromise.
They don’t even alert the American people to the hideous, anti-American, spiteful, shameful game Obama is playing.
I’ve been warning you about what was coming since January of this year, when I told you the Republicans you elected in 2010 had only one option for stopping Obama this year – only one option to shut him down, only one option to begin turning America around from the precipice Obama the destroyer has the nation racing toward.
That option is simply saying no to raising the debt limit.

No, you don't have it straight. Obama didn't say he wouldn't pay military, soc.sec., etc. He said that if the govt defaults it might happen that nobody can pay these amounts - the govt might issue checks, but the checks might bounce because the Treasury would be bare. And, no, he didn't say he wanted to pay for "abortion mills" -- federal law already forbids federal funding of abortions and Planned Parenthood uses only about 3% of its funds and facilities for abortions (entirely private funding) - the rest for pre-natal care, and other praiseworthy activities. Nor at there "Obamacare death panels" - this lie was exploded so long ago that I'd think anyone would be ashamed to raise it now. The Congress had no trouble raising the debt ceiling under Reagan and under both Bushes. It was usually a one-line amendment to existing law, no biggy. But the fact that the Republicans are blocking that so far is making other countries, and even other Americans, who invest in US T-bills worry that their investment may turn sour. Even without actual default, the US may have to offer higher payoffs on its T-bills to attract customers, and that will mean less money to sustain the government and a connected rise in the interest rates of mortgages, loans, and credit cards.

A bankrupt nation such as ours expects some poor Wal-Mart worker who makes less than $15,000 a year to kick in some of his tax money to a nation that will receive the equivalent of $18,000 per man woman and child in aid.
