My Wife is in an on-line discussion on a "social network" and it turns out that Many folks don't/didn't know that SS is entirely paid for (unless you're Really Old, or a Leach on Society) by The EMPLOYEE and the EMPLOYER.

You Paid for it. The Government acts as if it's a Gift from them. They are the leaches on it, along with most SSI and Many Disability claimants (fakes). Don't get in an uproar over that comment. That's where the bulk of the fraud is.

Obama and almost all other Pols are casting it in the "Entitlement Pool".

If you and your employer's payments into SS were accumulated at simple interest over your working life, there is a Bundle of money involved. I've seen calculations on the amount for typical taxpayers, but don't have it available right now.

Yep - it's Ponzi all the way.

Back in the day, it was 19 or 20 payers to one geezer.

Now, it's 3 to 1, soon to be 2 to 1, and so on.

It began as Old Age Assistance, not Old Age Retirement.

We are so stupid!

There is so Much "Redefinition" of everything these days, words, programs, benefits, even "Citizen, Natural Born".

Makes me want to puke.

We are so stupid!

Here's what I think is going on with this debt ceiling bullshit:

I think it was Clinton's jew-crew that started dipping into the SS trust fund to "balance the budget." Of course, it didn't balance the budget, it just allowed off-the-books borrowing that didn't show up on the national debt. Once they got in that habit, they couldn't stop until the fund was depleted with nothing left in it but IOUs. That was all good & fine because there was plenty of money coming in every month to issue the SS checks, with some left over to loot and replace with more IOUs.

Had they left their grubby hook-nose hands off the trust fund, SS would've been OK until 2027 or so. Fast forward to today: With 23%+ unemployment on top of the first batch of baby boomers flooding into the system, they've finally hit the wall where there's not enough coming in per month to cover the monthly SS checks. Here's where the irresistable force (Bernank's printing press), meets an immovable object (Commandent One - Thou shalt not allow ANY benefit to the people).

It would be a simple matter to print up the money to make the SS payroll, but Commandment One is an absolute to the money/power junkies. They'd rather die than see the peons get some of their worthless fiat. As long as the money is going to Israel and the jewWars, no problemo, that doesn't benefit the citizens.

Ultimately, they'll just raise the debt ceiling and go right on printing & spending like nothing ever happened... Until next time. This whole show is nothing more than a schoolyard dick-wagging contest. Who loses? The US taxpayer. SSDD.

And anyone (like myself) foolish enough to try building up a little nest egg with FRNs. I keep hearing the Dem crowd screeching about the dangers of the US defaulting, but in reality they default every time they devalue the dollar by floating more of them. The left doesn't give a damn, they just want to exact their revenge on people who have the temerity to be frugal, to live without milk redistributed to big ugly aunt samantha's never ending jug.

Far enough that current Representatives and Senators will be able to retire with their GUARANTEED congressional retirement package without having to give a thought to their votes while they "served" in D.C.

All so true.

100% full retirement, health bennies after TWO YEARS.

Those here who support RP, should write to him and tell him to campaign on stripping out all the (unconstitutional) bennies that congress has given themselves.

Point out what they are, and how grossly unfair they are to we who are paying for them.

This would be another solid, identifiable, plank in his message.

i agree with you. Since the govt STEALS it by force from employees, if they had a chance to keep that over their life it could be more beneficial to them.its not a handout, its theft by our grifter govt. So, damn right the folks are entitled to get it back.
