Warning some of the videos in this post are very graphic and could be upsetting. The news is full of storys where cops are going over the top and sometimes even killing innocent victims. The recent shootings of an unarmed man in Phoenix, and that of Jose Guerena, an ex-Marine who served two tours of Iraq are perfect examples of this. Last year 7-year-old Aiyana Jones was also killed in one of these shoot first ask questions later raids.
For years we have been seeing news storys where cops for very little if any reason have pounded on innocent civilians. Ronnie Holloway was standing outside Lawrences Grill and Bar in Passaic when a police car pulled up alongside him. A female officer in the car instructed him to zip up his jacked which Ronnie did. Seconds later officer Joseph R. Rios, exits the car, grabs Holloway and slams him onto the hood of the police car. He then pummels Holloway with his fist and baton. This was all caught on the restaurants Surveillance camera.
Even the disabled are not excluded from these hit first ask questions later cops. A video recently posted on youtube shows a guy in a wheelchair being taken down by officers and slammed head first into the sidewalk. Another shows a cop repeatedly punching a guy in the face who is also in a wheelchair, while 3 other officers stand by and watch. While I do believe that most cops are decent people who just want to uphold the law there is defiantly a growing number who are on a power trip and like dealing out punishment. These cops are nothing more than thugs who dishoner the badge they are wearing. But its not just the seemingly growing band of thugs who disgrace the uniform that we should find worrying. The police for years in America have been taught that the founding fathers were terrorists. The world seems to have gone mad since September 11th 2001 with even veterans being deemed a terrorist risk. Is this how they should be rewarded for risking their lives for their country?
We are now finding ourselves more and more at risk from those that are payed to protect us. At one time we could trust the police to protect our children but that is no longer always the case. As can be seen in another youtube video which shows 15-year-old Willow Kinloch being locked in a padded cell with her feet and hands bound and tethered to the door. This happened after cops had found her drunk and unable to tell them her name. At 4am the police did try to take her home but after failing to get an answer at her home due to the apartment buzzer not working, she was taken back to the cell where she was assaulted by one female cop and 2 males who left her tied up for 4 hours and then charged her with assaulting the jail guard. The charge of assault was dropped after the family sued. Afterwords her mother rightly pointed out that if she had done that to her daughter they would have flung away the key. There is no doubt that cases of police brutality are on the increase. This madness seems to be happening all over the world with the now familiar black clad police stomping all over our rights. just look at some of these reports of cops going way over the top.
Are we living in a police state where those that are meant to protect us are above the law? The deaths of Jean Charles De Menezes and Ian Tomlinson suggest that we are.

The police it seems no longer see the public as something that they need to protect, but as an enemy that they need to suppress.
