Share Print Email An Ohio couple and their two sons report watching something hovering just under their street light that "looked like a bare cut metal object the size of a foot wood ruler" that moved back and forth and at times "looked distorted" as it became "thinner or wider," according to August 5, 2011, testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database. The father went outside and first noticed the object. "I thought it was a bat eating insects," the father stated. "The flight was odd and shape too big. I got my son to come outside and look. He went toward object and it went toward him and lowered down toward him." The father asked one of his sons to come outside and look at the object. When the son moved toward the object, the object seemed to react by moving toward the son. But when the son backed away from it, the object seemed to go back to what it was doing. But when the father moved toward the object, "It came toward me and above me going up and down." Advertisement When they shined a flashlight on the object, it moved back and forth fast. "It looked like a bare cut metal object the size of a foot wood ruler. It had a wire tail with a light from the tip going toward the head every so often. When looking straight up at it, it looked distorted and would get thinner or wider. I would get an uneasy feeling when it was above me." Then they observed the object through binoculars. "It just looked like a hovering wire through binoculars." The father and his two sons continued to watch the object between 1 and 4 a.m. One of the sons and the mother said the object was still there at 5 a.m., but when the father went outside to look at 5:30 a.m., the object was gone. They have not seen the object since. No images or videos were included with the MUFON report, which was filed on August 5,2011. The incident occurred on July 30, 2011. No town name was mentioned in the public portion of the report. The above quotes were edited for clarity. Ohio is a current UFO ALERT 4 rating, with a higher than average number of UFO sightings nationally. Ohio had 15 reports in July 2011 - while California had 54 UFO reports - the highest reporting state in the nation. I went back to house and got shoes on and flash lights. I went toward object using a board to block the street light to see it better. It came toward me and above me going up and down. Me and my 2 sons watched it from around 1:00 a.m. untill about 4:00 a.m. then my son and wife said it was there at 5:00 a.m. but when I went out at 5:30 a.m. it was gone and have not seen it since.
