Pretty incredible. My entire house shook hard x 2. I thought it got hit by a truck. Well, there's a first for everything :)

Do you still have a house? That is still high on the richter scale. I remember living under the seismic fault line when the '94 quake hit in Ca. It was a 6.7. It threw me out of bed.

That happened about 20 years or so ago here in FTW. It felt like the house was moving back & forth a couple of inches from N to S. What did yours feel like?

I just came back from running, so pardon the late reply.

The best way I can describe the feeling I experienced is if you've ever been in a fender bender and can recall the initial impact. It was like I stopped short and everything else continued to move. There were two distinct jolts, with the second one being the sharpest. Needless to say it was a really strange sensation and I'm frankly surprised nothing is damaged in or on the house.

WTF is wrong with you? You're supposed to be pissing yourself, crying like a little girl, on your knees begging the all-powerful goobermunt to save you.

So what are you doing instead? Exercising. Clinging to your guns & bibles.

Fuckin' hick.

LOL!!

Catch this. The Mrs. was downstairs (we have a walk out basement) so she heard noise, but didn't feel the house shake. When I told her it was an earthquake, she yelped, "call the police." After I was done laughing, and knew she was serious, I made a mental note not to feed her when the supply lines go down.

You should check around good, especially around the water heater/plumbing to make sure you don't have any leaks.
