The relationship between morality and liberty is a directly proportional one.

"Only a virtuous people are capable of freedom. As nations become corrupt and vicious, they have more need of masters." ~ Ben Franklin

"For my part, whatever anguish of spirit it may cost, I am willing to know the whole truth, to know the worst, and to provide for it.” ~ Patrick Henry

Not yet Sunday morning, it's only 10:30 pm EDT Saturday night. In the Washington area, heavy rain, semi-strong wind, nothing hurricane-force yet. Apparently to the south, about a fifth of a million people are left in the dark. If previous years are any indication, it could be a week before all of the electricty is restored. This area had a uncommon earthquake only a week ago and there are worries that whatever damage was done by the quake will be exacerbated by the hurricane.

My son is with my daughter in South Jersey. It's not good in her third floor apt (that's the top floor). Serious rain with tornado warnings. I can't see their power holding throughout the night.

Never seen it but I don't watch much TV beyond baseball games.

It is kind of strange when you think about it that so many would prepare for some calamity that may or may not ever happen yet not prepare as well for their inevitable deaths.

God is always good!
