As you know The Cascades were sailors in San Diego who formed a band, and I grew up in Norfolk. In addition to San Diego this song got a lot of airplay in my home town and in The Philippines which supplies many of the navy's enlisted personnel.
Here's a song I learned in 1969 which became a bit of a trademark of mine for years.
