Marvin Gaye was one of my all time favorite singers. Loved just about every song he ever did. Distant Lover was/is my favorite for very personal reasons. And this, in my opinion, is one of the better protest songs anyone ever did.
(of course, as a soulless yankee, I have to say the Rod Stewart version wins hands down :)
