Looks like some group, occupywallst.org has called for 20,000 folks to descend upon the financial district in NY. There seem to be less than a thousand protesters out on the street with the cops throwing a barricade around the famous bulls and bears sculpture.
Mostly cardboard signs, bongos and rainbows so far. Chicks doing yoga en masse on the grass and streaming brought to you by American Express and Jack Daniels. It's all pretty tame so far.
Well this in NY, so what you're going to get is the traditional class warfare rhetoric, and the establishment knows only too well how to handle this sort of crowd.
These guys are not hungry and they are not really near pissed off enough to mount a challenge to the PTB. The Egyptians, on the other hand, were. They were also willing to get hurt and some of them to die. They were ready to trade blows.
The young white left in this country can't find its butt with both hands. Wait until the communists call out the unions and the blacks. Then shit will get interesting.
Yeah, it's good to see kids thinking about something else than football, but they've got, "more federal funding for our terribly underfunded schools and more money for teachers" on the brain. From what I can see, these are young, undereducated frustrated 'Bama voters.
