CERN scientists 'break the speed of light' Scientists said on Thursday they recorded particles travelling faster than light - a finding that could overturn one of Einstein's fundamental laws of the universe.

Antonio Ereditato, spokesman for the international group of researchers, said that measurements taken over three years showed neutrinos pumped from CERN near Geneva to Gran Sasso in Italy had arrived 60 nanoseconds quicker than light would have done.

"We have high confidence in our results. We have checked and rechecked for anything that could have distorted our measurements but we found nothing," he said. "We now want colleagues to check them independently."

If confirmed, the discovery would undermine Albert Einstein's 1905 theory of special relativity, which says that the speed of light is a "cosmic constant" and that nothing in the universe can travel faster.

That assertion, which has withstood over a century of testing, is one of the key elements of the so-called Standard Model of physics, which attempts to describe the way the universe and everything in it works.

The totally unexpected finding emerged from research by a physicists working on an experiment dubbed OPERA run jointly by the CERN particle research centre near Geneva and the Gran Sasso Laboratory in central Italy. Related Articles

A total of 15,000 beams of neutrinos - tiny particles that pervade the cosmos - were fired over a period of three years from CERN towards Gran Sasso 730 (500 miles) km away, where they were picked up by giant detectors.

Light would have covered the distance in around 2.4 thousandths of a second, but the neutrinos took 60 nanoseconds - or 60 billionths of a second - less than light beams would have taken.

"It is a tiny difference," said Ereditato, who also works at Berne University in Switzerland, "but conceptually it is incredibly important. The finding is so startling that, for the moment, everybody should be very prudent."

Ereditato declined to speculate on what it might mean if other physicists, who will be officially informed of the discovery at a meeting in CERN on Friday, found that OPERA's measurements were correct.

"I just don't want to think of the implications," he said. "We are scientists and work with what we know."

Much science-fiction literature is based on the idea that, if the light-speed barrier can be overcome, time travel might theoretically become possible.

The existence of the neutrino, an elementary sub-atomic particle with a tiny amount of mass created in radioactive decay or in nuclear reactions such as those in the Sun, was first confirmed in 1934, but it still mystifies researchers.

It can pass through most matter undetected, even over long distances, and without being affected. Millions pass through the human body every day, scientists say.

To reach Gran Sasso, the neutrinos pushed out from a special installation at CERN - also home to the Large Hadron Collider probing the origins of the universe - have to pass through water, air and rock.

The underground Italian laboratory, some 120 km (75 miles) to the south of Rome, is the largest of its type in the world for particle physics and cosmic research.

Around 750 scientists from 22 different countries work there, attracted by the possibility of staging experiments in its three massive halls, protected from cosmic rays by some 1,400 metres (4,200 feet) of rock overhead.

If the constant C is variable, it certainly could be. E also would be limitless, peak oil n oil wars could end. It would change the world.

Good news.......now, if only they could resolve the pesky issues of gravity. Then we wouldn't be flying around in planes based on 75 year old technology.

They've already solved it in the black budget world. Likely in the 60's and very possibly in the 50's.

Remember The White Rose

But whatsoever, after due examination and analysis, you find to be kind, conducive to the good, the benefit, the welfare of all beings - that doctrine believe and cling to, and take it as your guide.” ~ Gautama Siddhartha — The Buddha

Why are we still flying around in 75 year old technology? Why isn't somebody making bank on that solution?

Why are we still flying around in 75 year old technology? Why isn't somebody making bank on that solution?

The answer can be summed up very shortly - control - social manipulation - with a nice psychotic twist.

'We already have the means to travel among the stars, but these technologies are locked up in black projects and it would take an act of God to ever get them out to benefit humanity... anything you can imagine we already know how to do.' Ben Rich, Lockheed Skunk Works chief (via Jim Goodall)

There may be other hidden reasons, but basically from what I've read and observed the point is that the people at the very top, a coterie of varied psychotics headed by the Rothschild Fambly, are literally seeking to control the planet in a totalitarian state in something of a mix of "1984" and "Brave New World" with a dash of Phillip K.Dick thrown in for spice. So, anything which disturbs the ants and causes them to think along higher level lines is kept suppressed. This is all being done under the aegis of psychological and psychiatric mindsets of control, which assumes man is animal, that in a very circular, and hence false, manner proves itself to itself.

Attempting to reason out logically and rationally why they are doing what they do is pointless. You do not recreate an irrational and illogical mindset by thinking sanely. So, you have to look at and try to understand the reasoning processes, however perverted, of those who are playing the tune and pulling the strings.

We do have elements of the blueprint - the writing of Albert Pike and the Protocols. If you follow history both predicted well in advance what we are seeing today. While attempts have been made to discredit the Protocols as anti-semitic that is a false assertion. The Protocols do not apply to "Jews" as a cultural group, but only a very very small subset of individuals, not all of whom are Jews, who have been following a multigenerational control model.

So, returning to your question let me answer it in part with a question. What effect would easy travel between the stars, and unlimited cheap energy do to our culture, and from the right psychotic point of view what would it do to the control paradigm of the psychs and their masters the banksters? Most likely it would shatter it.

If you look at other elements ongoing - such as illegal immigration and the ethnic balkanization (with strong attempts to suppress the dominant culture - mistakenly labeled "white" by shallow thinkers and disinformation agents) then you can see that opposition to control is being neutered.

With the release of the long suppressed energy technology (likely BOTH Fusion and Zero Point i.e., Tesla) then in the context of keeping the society from expanding and developing too rapidly to control - from the psychotic megalomaniace point of view - you can begin to see the reasoning and divine the underlying plan/motivations.

So, cheap practical space travel would open the floodgates of the prison, and the prisoners, us, would be uncontrollable. Not good from the psycho point of view since they have a mania to control. Their hidden impulses and desires, which even they do not understand or likely even recognize as such, drive their actions.

That is the barest outline but gives some of the framework. Taking the several hours it would take to make a full development is time I don't have at the moment.
