This cartoon is from 1912. one year before creation of Federal Reserve.
"The United States today is like a cruise ship on the Niagara River upstream of the most spectacular falls in North America. A few people on board have begun to pick up a slight hiss in the background, to observe a faint haze of mist in the air or on their glasses, to note that the river current seems to be running slightly faster. But no one yet seems to have realized that it is almost too late to head for shore." -- Historian and author Chalmers Johnson"

Yes it is, and there's a reference to supporting a private central bank but also opposing government money. I guess that's supporting the FRB but what is "government money"? Gold & silver?
Or maybe it's government issued bills, as per Lincoln.
Oh, and your pic is just that annoying frozen frog. That's all I see, unfortunately.
Is that because of your connection you can't see it? Too bad. It is a cartoon showing the Federal Reserve as an octopus with it's evil tentacles into everything.

No, not my connection per se. It's likely that I'm out of the country or my IP address or something like that. Somehow and for some reason it's a limitation imposed by Image Shack. The graphic says "to view" I need to register at some weird domain at "bit.ly/imageshack-domain". No idea why I should need to do that or even how it would work.
One of those tentacles should be holding a match to the Constitution !!!
Pretty accurate portrait. Thanks !

Interesting. I got this from a thread on Democratic Underground and saw it just fine, so I'm sure one can see it in country with no problem.
I have had the experience of doing a link no one can see and didn't know that because my computer was providing the browser with the image from cache and I could see it when looking at a posting I did with an image link.
So it's always nice to knoe when others can't see a link or picture.
